Trevor wins by a shot. Comes down 18 with a 1 shot lead and wins. Casey finishes 2nd.

Nope. Trevor found his swing.
Really, the only one I can see having some problem with pressure would be Snedeker, and I don't think he's going to post a round bad enough to fall out of the top 5. I'm good with an Immelman victory, but would really, Really, REALLY like to see Flesch come away with a victory. Four victories among three lefties since 2003 is something I could live with.

Trevor, Brandt, or Casey will win it looks as if there may finally be some other guys step up and challenge the Great One most predicted the field to come back today and these 3 as well as Flesh did not.

Totally agree. Experience will be at a premium. Tiger will need some help. If he can put up a 67 or 66, he's going to make it really hard on the others ahead of him. I think their going to press and make some mistakes. I won't predict a Tiger win because of primarily of his putting, but if he does somehow win it, it won't surprise me.
Think of it, if Tiger is the clubhouse leader and you are at Amen Corner looking for a birdie or two, a Sunday pin placement will test you and tempt you to try a near impossible shot, especially if you need to press the issue or give in.

im thinking casey has a great shot to win...looking really solid. immelman showed some nerves today and got extremely lucky on 15...and on 13 hit a shot he said was 1 in 25...the back nine on sundays gonna be a lot tougher. if tiger has a good front nine, look out...i also like flesch a lot...hes a veteran and i think he'll be able to keep his nerve. i like everyone at the top, i just dont have a good feeling about immelman or snedeker...one bad hole is all it takes to bring them back to the field and get their mind working against them

The only way Trevor loses is if his old putting ways return. His swing won't fail him but he has been plagued by a balky putter in the past.
The wind and Tiger lurking should make for a great Sunday.

The last round starts 4am in Australia and us die hards get up and watch as the last group is on about the 7th. My expectation is that immelman and Snedeker will be still in front and tiger will be a couple behind and thats how i see the day progressing.
He is too far back on a course where he needs a 65 or 66 to win and no-one shoots those scores around augusta anymore.
12 or 13 under will win tomorrow

Tig is to far back ... it would take a total collapse of 4 guys and that isnt going to happen
Trevor ! wow the guy has been great , he deserves this one. His swing will hold up , its the best one of the leaders
Snedecker looks to be on barrowed time, he did a nice job of bouncing back ,but seems to volatile
Casey is the darkhorse ... he can get hot , but please we dont need Paul Casey winning a Masters
Flesch is good guy
But go Trevor Immelman !!!!!!

man united v arsenal ends at 3am, rest for 1 hour and masters!!
i don't know if tiger can chase that many shots in the wind, and i'd also love to see SOMEONE stare him down for the win
immelman or flesch are my picks

Trevor puts up another round in the 60s (69) and wins.
The only way Tiger wins is if the weather gets nasty and/or he puts up a course record. Either way, he'll have to beat Trev in a playoff if he's to get it done. The rest are just pretenders. Immelman is the real deal and good for him!

Hey guys, I'm new here so tell me what you think. I think Snedeker showed great composure out there after coming back from three straight bogeys. Immelman will find his putting struggles again as he did last year. The winner will be Snedeker because he has the right mind set to bounce back from bad holes.

I'm pulling for Snedeker, there isn't anything wrong with a Tennessee boy winning the Masters (except that he went to Vanderbilt, but I'll give him a free pass). He doesn't get frazzled when he makes a mistake, he showed that today bouncing back nicely after bogeying amen corner. Just kept playing his game, didn't try to force anything.
Brandt all the way!

I'm starting to think Sneds is going to pull it out! I'm a Tiger fan but he is just to far back. I would really like to see Immelman win (and was picking him earlier), but just have this feeling it's Snedeker's year.

If the wind really blows 20-30, Tiger has a 2 shot advantage just because of experience

20-30mph is a LOT of wind. LOTS.
If it blows that hard, you need to strike your ball. Advantage Tiger who's long and has all the shots.
Then you need to get the breaks, advantage Trev (ref 15 today).
Then you need to roll your rock. Advantage Trev (so far).
It's going to take something "magical" to get it done for Woods.

I like Trevors chances at this point. The guy finshes the 3rd round strong and shows that he is the real deal. The only thing that will stop him is if he goes back to the old Trevor (as in the crappy putting one). His putter has been very very hot. It's unreal to think he was last just a few weeks ago in the Putts per GIR stat on tour. Something like 180th.

I would not be surprised at all though if Tiger some how comes out and posts a 66 or lower. It is almost like watching a Rocky movie when he plays. Sure he is down, but for how long.
But, all that aside, I hope Immelman takes it. He is just on fire. His play deserves it.

Mostly sunny and breezy. Highs in the upper 60s. West winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
i'd like to see Boo Weekley strike the ball solidly in the wind and chip in a few times like he did at Harbour Town and fire a 67 to post -7.

Tiger will charge, but make a bad mistake on the back 9 which will stop him.... I'd be delighted with a Casey or Immelman win as I know both of them and they are great guys...
Trevor is a great player emerging from Ernie and Retief's shadow he's won event's worldwide and has a great swing. Casey's got more power than anyone apart from Tiger and can putt the lights out when he's 'on'
But, Trevor will come through with a 70 or 72 and he'll win by a couple...

While a six shot lead over Tiger going into a final is a nice cushion, after all it is Augusta, and conditions will - perhaps - be bad. Tiger hates the wind... so that may not be in his favor. But three shot swings by he leaders and Tiger means possible playoff scenario. Don't think it will happen though.
Trevor and Snedecker seemed to be pretty comfortable with the lead position. I'd frankly enjoy seeing either of them capture the green jacket. As long as it plays close, I'll enjoy it!

I'm with you. I'd much rather see one of these young men experience a dream come true by winning their first major than see TW chalk up number 14. Been there, done that, ho-hum. I stopped pulling for Tiger about 7 majors ago. Steve Flesch would be a great story too.

The wind will take its toll on the leader board and Tiger will be the only player in the top 5 to shoot under par.
Nobody caves in but the conditions will be tough.
Immelmann post 3 over 75,
Snedeker posts 2 over 74
Flesh and Casey fade
Tiger shoots 3 under 69
Immelmann and Tiger in playoff - Tiger wins.

If Tiger was 6 back and playing in the final group, a la 1996 with Norman and Faldo, I would give Tiger a chance. However, with 6 shots to make up....AND 5 guys in front of you, they odds are slim. He needs to at least 68 and then cross his fingers. If Trevor shoots Even or -1 on the front, and Tiger hasn't made up any groud, he is going to have to start pressing. The same thing happened last year.
I say Sned and Trevor go into a playoff at -11. Trevor wins.

The Masters is starting to become a problem for Tiger. I think they have Tiger proofed it in his mind at this point. Augusta has kind of goofed in that they are starting to see a bunch of who's that winners lately---kind of U.S. Open like... Many of the old guys (winners) swear this isn't the old Augusta even of 4 years ago they have messed with it so much. I went Thursday and Friday and for the first time in my memory (been going for 35+ years) it was boring. No excitement.
But the Grand Slam is still in play for Lorena that is. Tiger can maybe achieve another Tiger slam if he can figure out Augusta by next year and stop reading his own press clippings coming in. Otherwise the Masters will join the U.S. Open as the hardest for Tiger to conquer. He may get a break with where the U.S. Open is this year. He can still beat Nicklaus's record by winning PGA and British Open tournaments...This year at the PGA may also be problematic since he doesn't play Oakland Hills particularly well (but neither did Nicklaus until he won a senior open there).

If you look at Trevor's scoring average in the final round of majors, it is not looking too great for him. I believe it was 74.~ combined and 76.~ at the Masters. Seeing that Tiger is only 4 back of Snedeker, assuming that averages work in Tiger's favor, he could very easily shoot a 67-68 and be in contention for the lead going down the stretch. Tiger definitely left a few shots out there yesterday and still came in with a solid 68.
We shall see what happens, but it is definitely going to be an exciting day in Augusta.
