In case you haven't seen it yet (and let me preface this by saying that I love Gary and what he's done for golf around the world), Gary is wearing all white...not a big deal if that is the only piece of information you were going off of....now, let me throw in that he has a tight white shirt on and he's got his pants pulled over his belly button with a plated belt buckle from his company. He his fit for his age, but he still has a belly that is spilling over the front of his pants...

He is going for the European look, but he has his pants to his chest and his shirt is WAY too tight...you came close Gary and I like the effort, but pull your pants down and go one size bigger in the shirt...

WHO CARES!

Why are people on this site so obsessed w/ clothing and appearances?

He's an old man for God's sake! Old men dress like tools...it's nothing new.

How could you not mention the flaps on his shoes???
Harry P
I'm just impressed he can break 90 at more than 7,000 yards and hold any of the glassy quick Augusta greens with approach shots after averaging only 214 yards per drive. Hell, that's 5 iron length for most of those guys.

I thought he looked like a big tube sock.

He's earned the right to dress like a dbag. Just be thankful he's not talking like one.

I thought he was one of the caddies! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Irregardless of his outfit for a man of 72 to shoot 78 on Friday on that monster of a course is totally amazing. He is a testament to the fact that if you take care of yourself early on in life, avoiding obesity and diabetes, you can live and recreate well into yor seventies. He is an inspiration to me and I am sure a lot of other post 50 golfers.
thenewbie
he can wear whatever he wants to. . .I just thought it was so awsome that he said he wouldn't come back if he shot 80 or more. 78, and he'll be there next year.

Absolutely the worst and most disgusting thing I believe I have ever seen worn in a golf tournament!!!

Has anyone else noticed that when the commentators are talking to him he never has any problem bringing up his records or accomplishments even when NOT asked about them? I tend to see this each time he is on TV.
Tmiller72
Nobody was pulling against Fred Couples harder than Gary Player.
Mr. Fair
Amen to that! All he does is talk about his accomplishments. Granted he's done a lot, but the world doesn't need him to tell us about it every time he gets a chance. Was it not like 80 degrees down there, too, and he was wearing a turtle neck? Be quiet, Gary, and go back to the gym. I'm tired of your incessant gloating. Also, nice of you to put pressure on Immelman by saying he's the best ball striker since Hogan. You probably didn't want him to win and steal any of your thunder.

I heard that Friday's outfit was the whitest outfit ever worn by a golfer...

OK Kiddies...when you stop pounding yourself on the chest while spewing post puberty testosterone take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly if on your best day could shoot a sub eighty round at Augusta especially set up for tournament play.

Then after you stop crying over the bitter truth realize that the "old man" could likely kick your a** in the parking lot as well.

I'm a single digit handicapper that would wear a pink leisure suit and tube socks all day long to shoot under 100 down there.

Cheers,
Brad

Don't care about any of this if it is true or not. And I would defintely pummel his old a$$ in the parking lot, haha!! All we were saying is that we are sick of hearing him gloat. So Gary, what do you think about Trevor's play today? Well he is a great ball striker Jim, but did you also know that I was a great ball striker, and sand player and I won this tournament and than tournament and that I was so great? Did you know that Jim? I am sure you did because I told you the same thing last week, but I love myself so much that I thought I would tell the world again. Man I am great!!!

So sick of hearing it!!
mat562
As soon as I hear the 'Now listen to this; this is the most important thing you'll hear all day...' line, I switch off.
