A friend and I are going to Myrtle Beach next weekend, 17-19, one round on thursday, two on saturday and sunday. We are both turning 30 and this is the way we are celebrating. Actually he's already 30, I am younger until may. I have been a couple of times but never during high season. We are going to play the Pearl, both courses, on the 19th, we got a discount there through a friend. Anyway, I am going back to school in the fall and I need to make this trip as economically frugal as possible. Any suggestions?

we went with 10 people and stayed three night, three rounds of golf, two really nice courses, the former diamonback now the woodlands and a sea trails course. It was only 275 each, extremely cheap. and it included breakfast, i will get the website and put it up.

Here it is, http://www.golfmyrtlebeachsc.com/?gclid=CP...CFQFjxwodHyr8IA

299 for three nights and three courses, the plantation (really nice), woodlands (really nice) and carolina national (never heard of), and three nights at the aberdeen golf villas.

I was there a couple years ago. Had a decent time. We staid in a cheap place on the beach which was OK for sleeping. We did however play some very nice golf.

I remember the TPC Myrtle Beach, I played par on it - but not the greatest TPC course I've played. There was a course designed by Palmer as I recall - think it was King's North that was absolutely awesome - really loved it. I think it is one of the nicest courses in the area. Also played a Nicklaus Course - I think it was legends which was pretty good ) but liked the Palmer better.

Do get out to Kings North if you can.....

don't know really any discounts, but in pawley's island there is Calidonia, play it if you get the chance. Also Pawley's plantation is a very nice course as well.

Shaftesbury Glen is a fun place to play and is in IMMACULATE condition. Check out their website, call and ask for afternoon rate. It should be fairly reasonable. I played there last week and the greens were dynamite--quick, hard, and smooth. You won't be disappointed.
