Hi guys,
I'm going to Disney in August and I'm going to play one round. What's the best course in the Disney area? What are the usual rates down there? I see that the Palm course was $89.00. Is that the going rate or is that just for Disney resort guests? thanks for all replies....

Check there web site for the rates but I believe that for that time of year $89 is about right. The Palm course is the sunday course when the tour stops there in the fall. My Son & I played it last December and i can tell you it is worth every penny. Just know it plays LONG.

Are you limited to staying on disney property or can you get out, there are better courses within just a few minutes of disney.... just be ready for the heat, we like it a little warm down here in August

The Magnolia Course is the best course of all the Disney courses. It is where the PGA Tour event is played. They play the Palm on Thursday & Friday as well. I have lived in Central Florida my entire life and the Palm course has never been used on the weekend, as someone stated earlier.
There are better courses in the area though. I would recommend either Champions Gate or Orange County National.

I don't have to play the Disney courses but if the rates are better then I'll stick with them. I know Orange County National is a great course as well. What are the rates in August there?

Southern Dunes is a nice track as well. It's only 15 minutes away.
