Some good southerner should know this...

What is the official name to the theme music used to open the Master's telecast on CBS?

It has something to do with dogwoods, etc., but I don't know the actual title to the theme music.

How the heck did he come up with a name like that?

thanks!

With the info you gave me I was able to find it with some digging on the web.

However, is there a fully instrumental version that one can find (like on the CBS telecast) or is there only one version out there with the vocal track included with the music? The only one I found has the vocals. I don't want the vocals, I just want the music!

Don't forget to add in the CBS/Augusta pipped in bird chips that's at every microphone. Drives you crazy once you realize you keep hearing it at the perfect moments.

Is it true, the bird chirps from Augusta are added by CBS? I was told this by a friend, but chose not to believe it--what can we trust if not Augusta in the spring?

I worked a major tournament event years ago (not The Masters) and far back on the property of the course (at the edge of a wooded area) was a microphone elevated on a stand. I asked someone what is was, and they told me it was for the telecast. They used it to get the sounds of the wind, the leaves moving, and the birds chirping etc. They might just record a certain segment and keep playing the same birds chirping for four days! I'm sure they want to make sure to get the native species so they don't blow their cover...."that's Hollywood."

I suppose that they add CRICKETS chirping when it gets late in the day after a rain delay?!

Yeah, did that, but I have to add that guy as a friend to a MySpace page and I don't have one... and don't really wish to sign up for it, either!

Is there another place it can be downloaded?!
