I've recently joined this forum and really enjoy all the putter info I've been able to find. I had an Odyssey White Hot XG, but as a long-time Ping Answer user in my old bag I found the face to be too soft. Feels nice, but not enough feedback. Hit a Pro-V on the perfect sweetspot? Forget it - like butter.

I picked up a Snake Eyes Viper-Tour 2 putter from Golfsmith. Threw some lead tape on, like the weight better now. It feels GREAT. 303 steel, nice and soft. Milled face. Milled body? I doubt it - for $60, it must be cast. Could I be wrong? Anyone know anything about this?

All you collectors / putter-holics should *really* think about getting one.

Welcome. Whatever works for you, use it. I have a friend that uses a $25 Dunlop he got at K-Mart and is lights out with it!

i have more camerons and tp mills than i should have, and i switched to a monza this winter.............it doesnt matter what others think, if it works for you and you like it..........do it up. in putting feel and comfort is first thing to think about when picking up your tool of trade.

It is a sweet putter. I put one in play at the beginning of this year and it feels super solid. I added lead tape as well and I am rolling it great with this putter.
It is 304 Stainless Steel and it is still available through Golfsmith (part # SE4702) if you want more info.

Thanks for the replies.

I kept wanting to like the odyssey xg more, but if you use a players ball I can't see how anyone could use this club. The feel is completely dead to me, and distance control was very problematic. If I used a Maxfi Noodle or DT So/Lo, I could see the XG being OK.

On an unrelated note - I broke down and purchased a Bettinardi C-Series this weekend I'm in love. C-03 - tried the Cameron, Redwood, new Cleveland Milled Putter and others - none had the feel (IMHO) of the Bettinardi.
