played like a moron today -- 81. . . 9 bogeys, 1 double, 2 birdies and 6 pars. really a bad day. kinda just mailed it in after a front 9 41 and had fun -- read drank beer and hit on cart girl -- by next weekend she'll be eating out of my hand

. . .
shot 73 yesterday (+1) after being +4 after 4. . . 3 putt par on the par 5 first, bogey par 3 second, double the 3rd, an easy, easy par 4 hole and bogey the par 3 third -- 3 under the rest of the way. . .

only played 9 holes on monday. shot +4. could have been 37-38. went double, bogey, bogey on first 3 then parred out and had two birdie putts. drove the ball alright. hit irons pretty solid.
Shot 76 on saturday; 38-38 with three birdies and a whole lot of long par saves. Ball striking just average, though. Shows you what a hot putter can do.
Shot 78 yesterday; 41-37, phenomenal ball striking with a birdie and an eagle. They sanded the greens on this course and made it really tough to putt. If only I didn't make those two doubles...
Play off an 8 index now, I'm stoked at how the lessons I took last year have payed off. It sure took a while! Now I have an idea what Tiger went through (I'm close, I'm really close...).
Shot 76 on saturday, 78 last tuesday. Hot putter on saturday, hot ball striking on tuesday. Two very different rounds.

Shot 82 today. So far it's my best score at my home course. 39 on the front with one birdie and a 43 on the back finishing double, bogey

Only was in trouble off the tee once which let to the double. Life is different from the fairway!!

Why is that? That generally happens when I get a fast start, too. Start playing defensive on the 2nd teebox.

I need to stop making bogeys and I should be able to score low.

69 today (-3 under). 14 pars, 1 bogey, 2 birdies and 1 eagle. The eagle was on a par four were I pushed my drive to the right rough. I was 180 out and I hit a low punch shot with a 5 iron that hit the front part of the green and rolled into the hole.

Shot a +6 for a 77. Had 6 bogies, 12 pars, with 28 putts. Closest putt I had for birdie was around 15', but had alot of one putts for par/bogey that save a few strokes. At least I beat my father in law who shot his normal 78.

I saw that round, Kiwidave. I mentioned that one in the forums site. I entered a thread about the easiest way to break 80 by showing someone hitting 15 out of 18 greens, having a bad putting day (39 putts) and still breaking 80. I added your round as a completely opposite way to break 80 (4 greens and 25 putts). 25 putts is sweet!

Last weekend, shot the rounds of my life in the club tourney. This weekend... couldn't hit a fairway if they were increased in width X3!!! Good thing the Pawn Shops are closed on the 4th. Otherwise, my bag of MP32's, Ping G2 Driver, and other assorted goodies would be hocked for a checkerboard and checkers. Would have the wife check my into the old folks' home. No better than I shot today, probably would have trouble even hitting a bedpan while there!
Next weekend will be better... PLEASE!

My last 3 rounds have been a 77, 75, and a 79. I am going to blame the 79 on our greens keeper. He was sick or something and did not mow the greens for 2 days. I flushed the 983 K right on the screws and still could not get a couple of 25-30 footers to the hole.

Shot a +2 73 on Sunday, with 28 putts, which made up for Friday's 78 with 38 putts. The 78 included a 4-putt bogey on a 535 yard par 5. I was not pleased with that

36 on the front 9 (par35). However..............................I was playing 2 balls, and playing "best ball". I read somewhere that this is a good drill/exercise to do every now and then, since it teaches your mind to get used to yourself shooting low scores.

Also playing 2 balls and playing worst ball is a good drill because it helps you get mmore consistent, also teaches you to miss it in the right spot.

An ugly 82! Thanks to the hurricane we have very wet conditions. 3 inch, wet bermuda rough combined with a few wayward drives, made for a difficult outing. every missed fairway let to a bogey or a double! did put up 3 sweet birdies (about 50 ft of putts!)
Playing in an Interclub match tomorrow (if it would stop F#$%&#* raining!) and looking to rebound!

I shot a 73 in the 2nd round of the Carolinas Jr. My 147 total missed the cut by 1. It's driving me nuts because I was 4 under today with 7 to play, then came a few bogeys and a triple on 17, and a missed 6 footer on 18 to make to cut. Oh well, it's a learning experience.

I played in the weekly noon tournament at Bountiful Ridge for the first time in two years. It's a team chicago format. We didn't win anything as a team. I won a $17 skin on #3 because I made a long birdie putt.
Here is the round (78 with a 9 handicap). A blocked drive and fat SW approach cost me about 5 strokes.

this week... I shot a 83 at Spyglass Hill.. I was a mix of blue and gold tee setup distance wise but I played from the blue movable marker.

and an 82 from the blue at my home course Poppy Ridge in Livermore.

Wasn't today but I did have a record round a while back. On a par 70 course I start out 2 over after 3, birdie 8 and 9 to get back to even 35. Start the back birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie and finish with a two putt birdie on 18 for a personal low 9 hole 29 and 18 hole 64. Why in the world isn't it that easy everyday?
