Haha, underlining their golf knowledge in a big way, although I have seen people pull these carts before. I'm sure this will become a DSG bashing thread, but on the other hand, this is the type of oversight you will see in a lot of advertising, particularly in area where the retailer isn't industry specific or the brand manager doesn't participate in the activity and wouldn't notice something like this.

I was told by someone that works for a retailer that they buy the pictures or have a contract from photographers or studio's, or have 3rd party marketing. It's not like the guys in Dick's golf section at the store did the advertisement LOL... anyways, it was probably some guy that doesn't know golf ball from stress ball, but has an MBA from wharton... not that theres' anything wrong with that.

The biggest problem with the picture is that all three parties should be pulling… errrr.. Pushing “SUN MOUNTAIN SPEED CARTS”…. I’ve had mine for 4 years now and there is nothing on the market that comes close…. Nothing.

Do you have a modern "push-cart" (like the ones pictured above) or the classic, old-school "pull-cart?"
The push-cart is designed to be pushed from behind. Not really much more to explain, I suppose the only thing I could compare it with would be trying to pull a baby-stroller behind you, or a shopping cart. While it
can be done, it just doesn't work very well.
The pull-cart (like the ones you see for rent at a golf course, with the hard plastic/rubber wheels) works best being pulled behind the golfer.
I hope I don't sound condescending, I'm not bashing...! Good luck!

Just to play devils advocate, they may have chosen to pull them so you could see the bags and clubs better than you would be able to if they were pushing them in front of them. Not saying this is the way to go but it might be why they did it.

Now I can't even remember my seventh grade physics, but if I am not mistaken its easier to pull then push??? I mean I'm no rocket scientist, and I haven't stayed in any Holiday Inns lately....but I did finish the seventh grade...I think.. But then again that would depend on the hill angle. Of course down hill would better to push, but if the cart gets away, there goes your bag, but if its behind you and you lose control well you just got ran over by your own bag, plus it will hurt and still spill out everything down the hill......but hey I ride in a cart.

40 lbs on a 30* incline requires the same amount of force to move it no matter if it is pushed or pulled.

I've used both, and it's definitely easier to push a golf push-cart than pull a golf pull-cart.
I can't break down the physics, I suppose it's the same amount of exertion, work and calories, but it feels easier to maneuver and control when you're pushing the push-cart.

You guys are over analyzing. The reason for this photo is simple - pulling away so you can see the bags and equipment (thats is what they are trying to sell). The guys are walking towards the green, not away from the tee, so you don't see their faces, which detours your attentions from the equipment. If I was an art director, that is how I would place the product in an ad.

Then the photo should be taken head-on, while they PUSH those carts toward the green.
It's not over-analyzing. If anything, it's marketer's and art-director's jobs to ANALYZE US, so that spoofs like this don't happen.
