Ok lads,

I've got a pair of black Tour 360 II's and am going to get a pair of white shoes a little bit later in the year. The 360s are super comfortable but their white pair don't appeal to me in looks sad.gif. I am currently entertaining ideas for the Tour Metal II's (and III's) but am worried about how thin they are. The new 360 Ltd's are quite nice as well, and that is the extent of the shoes i'm thinking about in the Adidas range.

In the FJ range I'm currently thinking about the Classics Dry Premiere, the Classics Tour BOA, and the Reelfits. This time, I'm worried about the thinness of the soles of the Classics, but again I might be mistaken.

I thought about the Nike's as well, but the shop i work at doesn't stock them so they are out of the equation. So, that's about it on the agenda today, just want to here wat these shoes are like, and it would be even better if you could compare them to the 360s.

Cheers,
Brodie

I only tried them on in the store, but when I was shoe hunting last year before I bought my 360s the only shoes that felt as good in the store were the Nike SP-6, SP-7

Can't compare them for you, but I wore Reelfits all last season and love them! Plan to get a 2nd set when my black Contours wear out.

I just got a pair of the reelfits (white w/ brown saddles) and so far I really like them. I usually have issues with my laces coming undone, but the BOA setup with the ReelFits is very good at keeping the shoes snug. I'm not sure they are worth the $175 pricetag, but I got them at an Edwin Watts for $125 (2007 model shoe closeout sale) and at that price I think they are an excellent value.

yeah, they are a bit pricey - but i'm not worried about that working in a golf shop biggrin.gif

I chose the 360s over the Reelfits first time around cos they fit better and weren't as heavy - but, if they break in, i think the reelfit's style is much better then the 360s, especially the new white/brown saddle.

I just recently purchased a pair of the all white Adidas Powerbands and love them. They are the most comfortable golf shoes I own. Check them out...and good luck with the search.

I own 3 pairs of Reelfits, best shoe i've ever worn. You can never go wrong with fj classics.

I love the look of the tour 360's but was dispointed on how they held up. I got holes inside the heals on both. I have a pair of clasics dry premiers that are 4 season old and show much less wear.

I just ordered some classics tour on ebay for 150 this week.

360 ltd's are rival anything on the market. the only problem i have found with classics, boa tour and premiere, is they are a bit on the heavy side. the new ltd's are lighter than any "premium" shoe that i have worn. they have the full wrap 1-peice unlike the orginal 360's, where you would alway be hunting for the tounge of the shoe isnt a problem anymore. the sole platform is lower than any shoe on the market and lets you have a closer and more "intouch" feeling with the ground your playing with. it also still maintains the split sole for stability, which i thought was ingenious design idea. it provides alot more balance footwise for me. it may sound that i am in love with these shoes, and its just that i havent found a golf shoe that i have been more comfortable in ever. if your willing to foot the bill for these shoes, they are worth it.

buy the LTD's....end of discussion....no body puts as much technology into shoes more than adidas

Thin soles in a golf shoe is GOOD.

Why not try a pair of Oakley New Tye shoes? They are different then anything that you would normally see in the club house. They are very comfortable. I own a white pair and LOVE them. I have four pairs of different Oakley shoes and really like them all. If you want to do the cookie cutter thing and wear what everyone else is wearing then drive on. If you would like to be a bit different and wear something very comfortable, then try the Oakley shoes. They are around $110 online.

I have them in my shop and am not a fan fitwise and sole/spikewise (tiny crap spikes and just a terrible sole in general) - but their upper design is very eyecatching. Thanks for the recommendation though smile.gif

So, what did you buy?

If you are looking at the FJ's you might as well consider Ecco's. I have 2 pair and I walk 90% of the time. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They don't take the time to break in as the FJ's and they are much more comfortable. Make sure you try on a few pair, getting the size right is very important. I had to go down a half size.

Nothing yet - its a birthday present - so i've still got a month biggrin.gif.

Edit: But the way its looking it will probably be those Dryjoys with the White/Amber finish, or 360 LTDs depending on cost price. I've looked at Ecco to, and some of it was nice but we don't stock it sad.gif

I tried on some 360 Tour Ltds and the tour 360 II's... the wrap line of adidas shoes are way too narrow for me. My old pair of adidas is much more comfortable, but doesn't have the new "technology". I have some Nike Zoom Elites now that are really cush.
