There are some nice 2008 multipupose bags out there IE, Ogio Nexos, Mizuno Tour Stand Bag and the Sun Mountain MPB but none that I see have a pocket for shoes. Am I right? Is there any non cart bag that has a shoe pocket. Also of these three which would you prefer and why? Thanks to all. I'm from Suburban North Chicago and the weather is ridiculous. We just had additonal 7+ inches of snow and and a bit more is due Easter Sunday!

What do you need a shoe pocket for? (Not being smart, just don't see the point.)
Why not just get a shoe bag?

Why not? Most cart bags have them and its a nice convenience. In this regard, its a bit of a pain to hold on to the shoes and sling the bag and shut the trunk or hatch unless one puts the shoes down and does the other steps first, then bending down to pick up the shoes with the bag on. Its especially a pain to do this when its real cold (Like its been in Chicago this winter). Again, why not? Many of the pockets are not being used in the 1st place. Certainly, a shoe pocket will be used. I have to a certain extent solved the problem by keeping a pair of shoes in each car but again there is the pain mentioned above.

Personally I don't see why anyone would want to store their shoes in their golf bag. I have a golf shoe bag to keep mine in so that I keep mud, grass, etc. out of the trunk of my car, and I certainly wouldn't want it in my golf bag. With a seperate shoe bag I can easily clean it out, but to each his own I guess. I imagine the reason this isn't offered is because there isn't a huge market demand for it.

Unless I am not in tune with how my cart bags are designed, I don't think I've ever owned one that has shoe-specific pockets?

You have to bend down how many times during the course of a round to tee your ball, clean it, retrieve it from the cup? That last bend to put the shoes in the trunk is just one bend too many? I guess you have to draw the line somewhere... tongue.gif

When it's cold you don't want to lift a bag out of the trunk, THEN grab your shoes, THEN close the trunk lid, and THEN pick everything up--that's crazy talk!! Here's a thought: pull your bag out of the trunk FIRST. THEN put your shoes on top of your irons (the weight won't damage them). THEN close the trunk. THEN grab your shoes and--here's the crazy part--lift the bag by the strap. Feel free to modify this any way you see fit. Maybe locking the car BEFORE you pick up the bag and shoes...

This has to be some new innovation, right? Unless you've got Big Al Czervik's bag, where do you find the room to throw a pair of golf shoes in a bag? I've got a C-130 and don't see a reason for throwing shoes in there.
