Hey guys. For the past several years, I have been using a Ping Hoofer 2 stand bag (which, of course, is a double strap). I have a very bad lower back and, believe it or not, double strap bags put a lot of pressure on the lower back because of the weight distribution across both shoulders.

My question is whether there are any good single strap stand bags out there. Do they even sell single strap stand bags any more?

Most single strap bags are the heavier "tour type". I'm sure thats the last thing you need is the extra weight. I have a Mizuno Twister II and they come standard with an optional single "tour type" strap. But its heavy and I only use it on a cart.

You may just want to consider a light weight push/pull cart...

I don't have a pic (yet) but I just got a Taylormade JAPAN "Classic Logo" stand bag, and it has the old-school single-strap you're looking for. The strap reminds me of those usually found on staff bags.

The new TaylorMade TMX Stand/Carry is available with a single strap, although they're kinda hard to come across with the single. I got one and it's a pretty cool bag. The organization system works good, no stuck clubs. It's only available in white, but it's textured like carbon-fiber.

many bags have strap systems that just clip on two rings. if you find one, you can just unclip the two strap system and put on a different strap.

Go with the ping vantage, i never even use the 2nd strap, the right shoulder strap works perfectly using it over only one shoulder.

Callaway just came out with the Mini looper, single strap stand bag. My Nike extreme cary lite II has the double strap but they can be converted to a single. Very light bag and the legs are awsome.

I have the Hoofer Vantage. The second strap is easily removable and the bag balances well as a single strap. I like the clean look with the retractable single strap too.

Yea, the Mini Looper is a great bag! I've had mine for a couple of months now and it's been great! Super light-weight! when I was shopping around for a bag, I wasn't particularly fond of the single strap, but the bag is so light that not having the extra strap isn't cumbersome at all! It also has a pretty good divider system for such a small bag. That was one of the reasons I chose it over the Sun Mountain Swift. Definately check it out!
