Hi All,
I am starting to look for a travel bag for this summer. My girlfriend and I will be going to Myrtle Beach, Maui (or Hilo), and Oahu this summer. I want to bring my clubs and was eyeing the Ogio Monster. Does anyone have one...how do you like it? And have you had trouble checking it as baggage?

Thanks,
Eddie

I had one. ENORMOUS capacity and very good padding. Clubs survived trip to/from dallas no problem. Unfortunately, the durability was not what I wanted. After just one trip, it was fraying on the edges of the seams and a little pocket for ID was ripped. To their credit, the agreed to replace it under warranty, but I got a Club Glove.

If you need a bag for 1 trip a year and durability is not a huge issue, it would be a good value. If you travel 3-4 times per year like I do, go for the ClubGlove.

I have a Bag Boy brand bag, and it has held up well. If you go with any soft travel bag, the Stiff arm is a MUST.

The Club Gloves are nice, but REAL expensive. I think they are a bit of an overkill. I have never had a problem with my bag and it was just over $100. (Knock on wood) At some point there is just TOO MUCH protection. Not that it is bad, but you don't need it all. You can pay less and get a bag that will be just fine.

I've got the Ogio Straight Jacket and love it. Never had a problem with it at the airport. Not quite as big and heavy as the Monster but still plenty big.
