I know this may be corney, but I'm bored and have always tried to figure out why some people choose to use whatever headcover(s) they use. I was looking trough pics and thought it was funny to see Stewert Appleby have a huge red apple, I know Tiger has his and then another animal for Steve, Retief Goosen had a cool Goose.....What's your story? Is it your alma mater, favoriet pet, nick name, gift, Favorite team, etc.??? Or do you just stick with the OEM cover?
This will probably get no reply's.....

I don't like most OEM headcovers and I like my clubs to go undercover so noone else knows what's hiding under there. I use a college mascot for my driver. I refuse to use any other animals like Tiger's barnyard in his bag. I think besides "Frank" on his driver he has a bird on the 3 and some kind if horse's a$$ on his 5 wood.

Have a Black Lab driver cover cause I have a black lab) and when I played a Scotty I took off the headcover announcing I had a $300 putter

I too, like my clubs to go undercover, I would like to buy a new carry bag too, but I think out of mind, out of sight. I remove all OEM covers, including my putter cover. I bought a golfwrx putter cover last year, but someone in the bag room liked it more than me, so an old ripped slotline cover works for the putter. I have an old Frank cover for the driver, it was from the PGA when it was here. I sent my Jan Craigs back for repair and am having second toughts about using them, They both had small holes in them and would go unnoticed, so I may bring out some 30 year old nitted covers this year. I don't normally leave my clubs in the bag room, but being a tournament it was more convienent. Live and learn, again.

I bought and then won here some Rockettours; orange with black. They match the bag and bring back the memories of pom poms of the 1970's golf equipement.

I have Rocket Tours also. I am strictly using them because they look good, it is all about the look for me. The Lime/Black one on my driver matches my Black w/ Lime Mizuno GTX bag.

i bought a cool ultraman one but it was just annoying to put on and take off
eventually went back to using the OEM ones because theyre just easier

i put the wrong OEM covers on my clubs. like my TM driver has an old callaway steelhead cover and my sonartec 3w has an old nike ignite cover. my putter has an old nike "blue chip" putter cover i found when i worked in golf retail. sometimes here in detroit you can play courses that have a reputation for stuff being stolen. no sense in advertising that $300 putter or driver.
-that and why endorse something you had to pay for. if they gave me the club, i would for sure use the correct headcover.

I have a cat headcover for my driver given to me by my daughter (her name is Kitty) and I have a Dance with Dragon putter headcover covered in Yen coins (driver for show, putt for dough...) that I bought as I didn't want to tempt fate with a standard Scotty Cameron one. Trouble is, it gets more attention than an SC one would!

I use the headcovers that I have because they came with the clubs

At my coutry club, and most places that I've played, clubs being stolen doesn't seem to be a big problem, so I don't mind people being able to see what I play. Then again, it's rare that my bag is unattended for more then 5-10 minutes at a time.
However, I do really like the look of Rocket Tour covers and my be looking into getting a set of those sometime this coming summer. I've never seen anyone with Rocket Tour headcover at my club, nor anywhere else I usually play, so in adition to them looking nice, it would be pretty unique. I like the color options as well. Leaning towards green and gold at the moment..... my college colors.

The bird on Tigers 3 wood is a Kiwi- the national bird of New Zealand and yep its in recognition of Steves place of origin

Well, 1st off I don't trust anyone!
I have Philadelphia Eagles head covers on my woods that were a gift from my daughter, all though I still use the burner headcover on my driver because the beast is huge! And I'm looking for a new putter cover for my scotty..I don't want to advertise that I have a real nice putter..LOL..sick isn't it! LOL I guess because I don't belong to a club and play muni's where any nut job can play and see my stuff sitting out there while I pay for my round and snake my stuff. And I'd hate to snap someones neck over messing with my clubs LOL. No tapping out on the street...

I'm going to the store right now and replace all my OEM covers. My clubs were stolen too, in my garage cause I was marketing Titleist and cameron studio style . I place a scotty cameron studio stainless cover on my son's putter and they stole that too.
You guys recommend any aftermarket headcovers?
Thanks

On my fairway metals, I use the old school Titleist tour barrel covers. Easy on, easy off.

I got Jan Craig and Kewl tubes on my woods and hybrid and a generic golf glove on my Scotty(soon to be replace by the golfwrx flying tiger). Main reason is to keep the clubs away from prying eyes. Clubs disappear faster in South FL than Hooters wings and pitcher in front of JD! 2: I walk and I use a stand bag with 14 clubs, so space is at a premium. EOM or animal covers are just too bulky.

I like to have head covers that are a bit of fun. So I have a dragon my daughter found and I add some matching knit covers. Top it off with a Hula Girl cover for the Scotty and life is fun.

Hey guys.
My daughter said she found the dragon at www.myostrichgolf.com. She special ordered it with the longer sleeve to protect the shaft.
