Just had to share this story maybe a once in a life time deal...........

I work part time at the Golf Galaxy in Cary,NC to make ends meet. I was working 2 days ago and a young guy came in looking for some new irons for a belated X-mas present for himself. He was set on getting a set of Mizuno's...........good choice..........so we new where we needed to start. He had his mind set on the 32's because he really liked the set up and look of the club. After hitting them in the simulator and talking to him a bit I asked him if I could show him another one that I thought would be better for him.

He dosen't play as much as he used to............like us all...............and I told him he had a great swing but unless he was willing to put some time in with these he might want to play the 60's instead. Not a really hard switch because they look the same from the top line just that they are a little more forgiving so this was a no brainer for me.

He hit them several times and said he liked them so we finished the fitting and he took them home with him along with a smile on his face because he was going to the range to try them out. I gave him my card and told him if he ever wanted a game to give me a call I am always up for a round.

Well I took my father out to Tobacco Road in Sanford,NC to play today. It was misty adn raining off and on all day so not a great day to be playing but he goes back to China in 2 days so we figured we would give it a go. Well at the turn we went in to dry off and get a beverage and who do you think I run into but the young man I sold the clubs to. I shouted across the room at him and asked him how the new clubs where working out. I thought he was going to fly over and kiss me!!! He shot over and shook my hand and said they where the best clubs he had ever owned and in fact on # 16 there at the course he recorded his first Hole-In-One since he has been playing with them the first time out!!!!

Sorry it took so long to get to the feel good part but it is a story like that that makes you feel good about what you do, since I am also a Golf Instructor by trade it was nice to know I steered someone in the right way and made there day because of it.

So just a neat feel good story to start off the New Year!!!!!!! drinks.gif

How'z about selling me a set of clubs? I'd like a hole-in-one as well! Nice job on the clubs though! I'm sure you'll be remembered for a very long time. Simp

Great story utopiapga! good.gif
I really like how you suggested/recommended in a way that was easier for the customer to accept. You should seriously do some cross-country training meetings! Schedule one out in Utah first!

hey man ask golf galaxy to put a store down here in south fla lol. Thats great man. Unfortunetly there not all like you. I was speaking to a man at Golfsmith and he said the Procombos would fit a higher handicapper better than a NDS. I bought the PRo Combo for long term commitment but I know what he was saying was complete BS

That is a great story, I wish I could get a hole in one each time I got a new set of irons, I would have a bunch by now.
