I need some help from those of you who are fashionable. (I am not, but would like to look nice on the course.) I am getting ready to buy a pair of Tour 360 IIs. I usually wear either Khaki pants or shorts. Can I wear either solid black or the solid brown LTDs with Khaki shorts? What about solid black with Khaki pants? I personnaly think the white models look best when they are new, but they get dirty quickly.

I just got new Ecco Flexors that are black with brown. My wife says they they look fine with khaki shorts. Personally I would rather have the all brown, but the black ones were on sale. No problem at all wearing black shoes with khaki pants.

Personally, I think that the black shoes would work with khaki pants as long as you had A) a black belt, and B) a shirt that was NOT WHITE. White shirts/khaki has never been a favorite of mine. But I hardly EVER wear khaki anyway. With shorts, white or black tends to work better than browns do.
Hope this helps.

I don't wear khaki much, but when i do I do it in one of two ways. Brown belt/brown shoes, or black belt/black shoes. If I'm doing black/black I'll ONLY wear a black shirt. Almost anything else I'll do the brown/brown, but like I said khaki doesn't happen too often, I normally do a lot of greys in the slacks.

Its hard to do black with khacki. It takes a lot more thought and the shirt has to be very specific. Brown is so much easier if your a khacki person.

Either or is fine. However when I wear shorts I have to wear white shoes or shoes that are primarily white. I can't stand shorts with black shoes! Black shoes are made for pants!

I personally think white shoes look best with khaki pants espically shorts.
I guess brown would be second choice
But black shoes with khaki shorts looks horrible, even with pants.
Just buy 2 pairs one white for your shorts, nice days. And a brown pair for when its messy out:)

I have to agree with the white shoes with shorts. Black or brown with pants as long as the belt matches. As for the white over khaki, it is ok, but really plain use the shirt to add some color.

Take in consideration how often you wear shorts vs how often you wear pants?
With Shorts you may prefer white. If you get the black stipes you now have the option for a black belt or depending on your style you may be able to pull off the white belt.White is not hard to keep clean. Whipe them down after every round with a soft damp cloth or even your golf towel. Once in a while use some FJ cream it acts as a conditioner and polish in one and it comes in white, it's easy to use and not very expensive. I dont like white with pants very mutch but a white saddle can look nice and classy with Khaki pants.
Black or Brown..Either will work with pants or shorts. As mentioned always match the belt to the shoe, but the shirt will be the final factor. Example with a navy shirt I would chose to wear a black belt with balck shoes, but with a rusty colored shirt I would chose to wear a brown belt with brown shoes. The khaki pant/short is your neutral it will work with either shoe color, the key factor will be the shirt.
Now one final note your socks DO NOT WEAR WHITE CREW SOCKS WITH SHORTS AND BLACK OR BROWN SHOES!!!. Buy some black no-show or ankle socks (Black Shoes). If you choes white (Brown/Black shoes)make them roll top booty socks or ankle socks with a black or tan emblem example FJ golf socks.

Personally I like brown/khaki much better than black/khaki. Just remember to match your belt with your shoes and youŽll be fine...

I prefer black shoes and wear them with khaki, olive and/or stone color shorts all the time. Just be sure to wear a black belt and black or grey socks and you'll be fine. The tour 360's are casual enough it looks good, I don't know if I'd do it with a pair of FootJoy Classics or not but I've seen others do it. Personally white shoes just aren't my thing anymore.

Here's the quick run down on fashion. Black or brown is perfectly fine with khaki as long as you match the color of the shoe to the color of the belt. Also, you should match your socks to the belt and shoes too. Brown shoes should have brown footies, not tan or cream. Now, let me give you the rundown on shirt colors:
Black: Black shoes, black socks, black belt.
White: Prefer to have white belt and white shoes and socks. But, if you have a funky color shoes, don't be scared to get a matching belt and coordinate with white.
Brown: Though commonly believed that dark brown does not go with black, that is absolutely false. Don't be scared to pair a black belt and black shoes with a dark brown shirt. It breaks up the earth tones that you are wearing so that you don't look like one long piece of brown.
Navy: White belt, white socks, white shoes.
Pastels: White belt, white socks, white shoes.
Red: Black or white coordinates will work.
If you can't figure out the other colors, well, you are just going to be that guy on the course that couldn't coordinate!

Thanks, everyone. I order a pair of the brown Tour 360 LTDs, along with some tan no-show socks.

Actually, socks should always match pants, not shoes.

Yes...socks. Not footies. They should match your shoes. Only a portion of them show and you want them to blend right in with the top of your shoe.

This thread shows you that when it comes to fashion/style there are few absolutes and lots of wildly conflicting opinions. One guy said it's okay to wear black shoes with khakis as long as you don't wear a white shirt. That's odd, since white certainly goes with anything.
If the palette you are working with is black or brown shoes and khaki pants, I don't think you can go wrong as long as the belt and shoes match. Khaki and brown obviously work together and khaki and black is equally classic - black and tan. I would go so far as to say that white is the perfect color shirt for that, with deep red, mustard or lime green being other good options.
If you google a bunch of men's style articles, you'll find diametrically opposing viewpoints on whether to wear black or brown leather with navy and whether to match socks to pants or shoes. In fact, matching your socks to your (non-white) shirt is considered an acceptable option.
I like to wear black low-cut socks with black shoes or shoes that are white with black saddles, but really, if you are wearing shorts does it really matter that much to obsess about matching your low-cut socks?
By the way, I have observed that khaki shorts with all-black shoes has become the preferred summer look for younger golfers around here.
