I am leaving for a trip to Hawaii and I am in need of some golf shorts. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best golf shorts out there? Open to all suggestions. Thanks.

I really like the Adidas ClimaCool Golf Shorts. Flat fronts, stain resistant and they have a built in mesh air pockets that help cool you down. Check them out...

I personally like to wear casual shorts from Quicksilver, Rip Curl and Billabong to golf in. They have the nice light weight material, long inseams and very comfy.

Any pair of shorts that are comfortable enough to wear all day are good golf shorts IMHO.

Check out golfsmith--you can get the for pretty cheap. If there's a golfsmith store near you, the selection is usually much better than in the store. I paid less than $40 each at the local golfsmith for every pair I have!!!

How is the length on the Clima Cool shorts? Are they really short? Or a good length?

Bulldog:
Length is my issue too.
I'm 5'11" tall, and my dress pants are a 32" inseam. I can't stand golf shorts that come down to mid-thigh, nor can I deal with shorts that pass my knees.
I've found that 9" inseam is the magic number for me.
Try JCrew. You order the shorts by inseam length. Very high quality and several choices for color and style. Check back with them and when the "summer weight" shorts come out, give them a try. Great stuff, in my experience. Also, their website has a sale page, where shorts can often be had for very little coin.
good luck.

how do the clima cool's compare to the Nike dri-fit tour shorts?

climacool's have more room in the seat of the pants. not baggy by any stretch, but so much of my prodigious power comes from my rump and the nike's are a little snug back there. Adidas fits me better.

The under armor shorts are nice as well. I've been told they are flattering to the male rump, but I wouldn't know about such things.
