Im 16 years old, my Dad, Brother, and I are thinking about going to a practice round at Augusta this year, and would be making the trip from the Tampa, Florida area, and I just want to know if all of the players are there on Monday, or would I be better off going on Tuesday?...we would be buying tickets at the gate so we wouldnt be able to get in real early..
Thanks for the input

Tuesday would be your day if you want to watch the most golf on the actual course itself. In my experiences, pretty much EVERYONE plays on Tuesday.

With that said, Monday is a GREAT day--you just can't match the anticipation that surrounds National on the opening day! Also, you get the pick of the litter in the pro shop!!!

The players are generally in a very relaxed mood Mon and Tues, but Monday takes the cake for me. And you can bet your arse Tiger will be playing on Monday at some point!

be sure to take a look at the back of the clubhouse and you can see nameplates on doors that read Cliff Roberts and another one for Bobby Jones, I imagine just as they were 80 years ago. Stand with your back to the big magnolia (you'll see it, you can't miss it) and just look out over the course. check out some of the cabins over by the 10th tee and you can see the Butler Cabin and where Ike and Mamie Eisenhower stayed. there are alot of little things you can catch a glimpse of about the history of the grounds if you can break away from the golfers for a few minutes.

oh yeah, wear comfortable shoes, it really is much hillier than on TV.
