Looking for some recommendations for a lite bag with a stand. I was told the ping mantis can' t be beat but I don't think they make them anymore.
I hear confilicting reviews about sunmountain.
I walk 18, carry 14 clubs, and don't like carrying a wet bag that doesn't have a stand.
Durability would be nice too.

SunMountain Superlite 3.5 or its cousin....Titleist X86.
I really like mine. I think they are the best light standbag on the market right now. They have everything you need yet very light.

Sun Mountain Swift. Brand new out Jan '08. Lightest stand bag out there. Really nice!

I use the ogio vaporlite. Has the exclusive Woode system on left that separates woods and elevates each, separate putter well. Less than 4 lbs. I love it. It is lite for carrying but the function of a stand.

I recently switched from the Sun Mountain 3.5 to the Swift. It is 1 lb. lighter, but feels like a bigger difference. Likes: easier on my back, ample storage, good straps. Dislikes: Going from 5 club compartments down to two. I still much prefer the Swift for the weight difference, but I do miss having my irons nicely separated.

Any ping bag
I have an Ogio Vaporlite, very light (under 4 lbs) and the way it organizes the club is second to none.

Make sure to check out the Callaway Mini Looper. I too was looking for a lightweight stand bag and I came down to the Sun Mountain Swift and Mini and the Callaway Mini Looper. I chose the Mini Looper because of the club organization. The Mini Looper had 4 compartments along with a putter slot, and each divider was full length whereas both the Mini and Swift had less division and the Mini didn't have full length dividers. The Mini Looper is also a GREAT looking bag. The ball pouch in the Mini Looper holds more balls than the Zipperless Ball Pocket on my Grom (which weighs twice as much as the Looper and is now my cart bag). The only possible downside is that it is a single strap. It's not a downside for me but it may be for some. It is a very wide strap though and gives me no trouble walking 18.

I use a green and white Ogio Vaporlite bag. It only weighs 3.8 lbs and there isn't a better bag setup than the Woode top in my opinion.

I have a 2006 vaporlite and I think it is excellent apart from it keeps falling over! So it doesn't get my vote... unless they've improved the stability alot.

Another vote for the Vaporlite, used to have one sold it; bought 2 new ones... Only problem is with the new ones that the pocket for tees is missing....

Wow! totally agree, I just picked up the same bag ( Titleist X86 ) and same color. This beats any Ping bag I've ever owned. I use mid-size grips and clubs just fit perfectly and very lite too! In the past I've owned Nike, Ping Hoofer and CrazE lite, Sun Mountain and Taylor made etc. This is by the best bag I've owned. Totally recomend.

New for 2008, I would recommend the Sun Mountain Swift. It has everything you need, and it holds a full set. I'll be sporting one as soon as they come in!
