Which is better when you're playing in weather around 40* with alot of wind and rain? I have golf tryouts this week and we are going to be playing in cold and rain here in the bay Area, California. So which gloves are better to use? Do winter gloves give a good grip in rain? Also, are rain gloves warm enough?
Thanks

I use rain gloves in both rain and cold. Played when it was down to 4°C with no problems. My Foot Joy rain gloves are surprisingly warm.

I do a lot of range work in during the winter months and have found that 1 or 2mm neoprene gloves offer the best thermal protection, while providing an excellent tactile sense. Kenai trademark, seem to be one of the better that I've found, both warm and waterproof.......

I have both but generally use the winter gloves. For you though it sounds like rain might be better. Winter are warmer. Rain help more with grip.
Another note, for days when its not that cold, just getting a righty glove in addition to my regular left hand one works well.

Can you use like, Footjoy Rain Gloves when it's just cold and not wet? Or will they be slippery then?

I do regularly. No problem at all. They just grip more when they are wet.
