Its a shame most golf courses dont let people use metallic spikes cause of bad walkers.

I miss the sound when i was in colombia, of the metal spikes clicking on the pavement as you walked.

My home course in The Netherlands still allows metal spikes, although almost nobody uses it as you're not allowed to go inside the clubhouse with it (thus changing room).

They are Italian...they actually commented on them yesterday.

He's super nice, his shoes are handmade in Italy (has about 6 pairs made a year) He's real 'old school' He enjoys the finer things in life and shares them with his friends. He doesn't have a 'belly' as some think, he's barrel chested and struts around like a cockerel on show....

Spot on mate, by far and away my favourite player on the european tour. He is a touch of class.

It is Nebuloni shoes he wears, they really are beautifully crafted, but hellishly expensive.

back to the subject I find metal spikes hold better but soft spikes are easier on your feet. They have also been great for greens I do not miss spike marks.

I've work on, in and around the EuroTour for 10 years.... the guy has more class than anyone else....

Spikes..... I agree, I don't miss swearing at spike marks on greens anymore when I miss a putt.... would it be a tough decision to ban metal spikes on tour ? I'm not sure, maybe the length of spike should be looked into... Mickelson got panned a few years ago for his long spikes at Augusta, but I'm not sure you could ban them.... any thoughts.....

The rough is too thick to ban spikes, and the ban for us has nothing to do with golf. The reason we can't use metal spikes is because of wear and tear on the rest of the golf course grounds. If you ever look at the concrete of a club that is old, its all chipped and ugly from where people used to wear the metal spikes. Also they destroy carpet and hardwood floors, which is why the guy above who can wear them on course can't wear them in the clubhouse.

I also saw Badds wearing metal spikes during the FBR, it kind of reminds me when i was younger hearing my Dad's metal spikes on the concrete. I think they look sweet, I don't think anything looks better than the original calssic FJ's in all white with metal spikes like Badds had.

For the Peugeot Tour in Spain (regional mini tour in Spain), Jimenez not only participates in some events, for the ones he can make, he usually buys lunch for all of the Spanish players under 25 each day to help them out.

Amazing guy and one of the classiest guys out there.
