Francis
Hi there,
Just like to pick the brains of my mutual golf nuts .

Have posted some pictures of my Ping anser putter which I have been the proud owner of for
more than 25 years(second hand). It is unusual in the fact that it has the Slazenger logo stamped on the sole.
If there is anyone out there who knows the history , I would like to hear from you.

All the Best (keep your head down)

www.pongman.com has some info on this if I remember correctly. The site doesn't link correctly right now to the putter pages. I have seem them before and believe that he addresses that slazenger putter.

From the site:

Jack Nicklaus' Slazenger/Gary Player Models

The Karsten Company was made with Gary Player's signature on the bottom just like the Scottsdale, and sent to South Africa at Mr. Player's request. Only a few hundred were made. The Karsten Co. Anser also was made for Slazenger with their stamp on the bottom along with Jack Nicklaus' signature. Slazenger had a side deal with Nicklaus for clubs made in Great Britain. These two Karsten CO's are very valuable indeed. I've seen prices from $1,500 to $4,500. So few were made in comparison to normal production.

what do I win?
