I ordered this in October and shortly thereafter fell hard for my Proto Seemore. This should be to me in a couple of days and the pics are from Slighter. This is my 3rd Slighter and I have always liked his work.
This putter was set-up to the specs Joe Kwok told me I needed, flat face no mill marks or grooves, 67 lie angle, 4 degrees of loft, 32..5 inches, toe hang and 365 grams.
It should be fun to give it a roll, but I am awfully found of my Seemore.

Have fun with the putter. I absolutely love my Slighter.

Very nice putter! I'll bet it kicks out the SeeMore... of course I'm a little biased as I'm loving my custom Slighter.

Yes the 88 and 92 are the years my daughters were born, the bottom of the putter has it's on Date of Birth on it and the specs, pretty cool.
There is supposed to be a toe stamp on it but I'll have to wait until it shows, I love simple

Great looking putter Joe. Now the real question since you're a 'one putter at a time' guy...
Did you sell the SeeMore Proto?

Wow, that is nice. I have an old beat up Slighter Seattle and it's the best putter I ever had. Enjoy.

Not yet, but you know my motto...one of them will have to go or the one I am using won't work!

Yours might have been the one I saw on this forum, I saved the picture and when I was ready asked Tom for something similar. This is a great looking finish, how is yours holding up?

Click to view attachmentThat is a picture of mine. I also have a stamp on the toe of the putter as well.
I have used mine all year and the finish is holding up well. I bought some oil cloths that you would use on a gun and just try to remember to oil it down after every round or every other and it has held up well. This was definitely one of the best investments I have made.

One of the best looking putters I have seen on Golfwrx and there has been some Great ones. I like the head shape, finish, stamps, sightline and just the whole package. Congrats on that one!

Honestly, I thought this was going to be ANOTHER Slighter thread. But I got it wrong. I got it very wrong. That is the first Slighter I have ever seen and gone 'Wow!' Clean, simple, classic and I love that 'Ping' colour.
Enjoy it! I wish you all the luck!

The theory is that the mill marks or roll type grooves can put a hook spin on the ball when you come from the inside on a "door hinge" type of swing. I am a hinge putter, closing the door through the putt.
I loved my Machine for its looks and feel, but felt I was seeing my putts "draw" if that makes sense. So I share this pet theory with others on grooves.
I think on a square hit that the AGSI, grooves and other such things help the ball get rolling, but on a less than perfect hit type of contact the grooves throw the ball off line.
Odyssey, Ping and others have made great putters without grooves or mill marks, so why complicate things?

Interesting theory. Roll Grooves I could understand they could affect the putt, but mill marks? A bit of a reach there. But to each his own!

Great putter, I love that mud finish, next time I splash out I think that's the one i'll be going for. The great thing is they're awesome to putt with too.
