Thanks guys...she is a beauty!
And as much as I would like to...this is one will never see action outdoors. I will say, that after swinging it a few times...it feels amazing...just perfect. 30 year old technology huh?

On a quest now to find a gamer like this!

I initially was hoping for a shaft over hosel, flared tip. However, the ferrule works as well.
Is this a normal tapered tip shaft, or the infamous "pencil" shaft?

If that putter is meant to be used on a golf course, the decorative sprinkles/fluff serve no purpose for me. Very distracting. Just my no-bling, form follows function, focus group opinion. Otherwise, it's a nice looking stick.

How bad does it need to get before you guys flip from "I love it" to "bin it".
Really, if it didn't have brand-value, it'd be a useless putter today.

Yeah...I have always just been a big blade fan. I've been putting with a Titleist Professional 8802 style putter for quite some time...it just suits my stroke. Tried the Answer style heads....offset...goose neck...two-ball...blah, blah, blah....you name it. Nothing quite looked right at address, or felt right to put with to me.
And while this particular putter is not going to be a gamer...it represents to me everything beautiful about the style of putter I prefer. That is why I did not hesitate when I had the chance at it. And FWIW....this is the first putter I have ever bought that I have not, or will not, put into play.
So I will hunt down one like it to game...or a nice T.P. ONE would work quite nicely too.

I've always said I would never buy a putter or other piece of equipment that I wouldn't/couldn't game but I think I could make an exception there. Like it's been said before, keep it inside away from the sun, rain and meddlesome children.

Agreed! I said the same thing...and until the other day, I would have never thought I would have. But to me, I have a grail piece...one of the ultimate hommages to the perfect putter

C,
It's the either your a "blade lover or your not" thing.
I don't have the skill to putt with blades anymore (no matter what anyone says, this is a blade an anser/newport,bb1 is not! The guy who invented the anser doesn't even call it a blade) but I still appreciate the beauty of it versus the design on an Ironmaster or an 8802.
Just like MB irons, especially the simple ones like Pro100s, TN87s, Kenneth Smiths, Titelist Tour Models the minor design differences don't stick out because they are so subtle, but yet they make a world of difference to a MB iron enthusiast.

guess your right, im not a blade person. i have never putt with one nor do i intend to becasue of how it looks. only thing that matters though is that the new owner is happy with his new putter. hope he puts it to a good home and gets to game it instead of making it a very expensive wall putter.

You don't have to get it...not everyone does with blades, and that goes for not only putters, but irons too. Blades are for some...but not for most. It just fits my eye and I flat out put better with them. And if you read my earlier post...to me this was the grail of blade putters and it will be a museum piece for me. I will pull it out...and putt with it indoors perhaps...but the beauty will be in looking at it. It's my choice, and I have plenty of others to game.
And the statement about it saying TP on it...just ridiculous. I supposed if your Epons said anything other than Epon you would have still bought them?
It's called craftsmanship...Truett was a master and David had filled his shoes quite nicely. There is also heritage to the brand that I can appreciate. I mean these guys just don't put the info into the CNC and spit out a putter...they do it by hand. (not that it's that easy for the CNC guys...cuz I am a fan of some of those as well). But either you appreciate it or not...and it's obvious you don't...which is fine.
Bottom line...buy what moves you, and to heck with what others think. And if you choose to game it...or not...again, it's the owners call.

you have a point. only thing that matters is if you are happy.
btw i too am a fan of mills putters, i only have david's stuff and think its awesome. i do hope to own a true Tp by truett one of these days but it will most likely be one of his cavity back.
as for my clubs i got it for the craftsmanship aspect of epon. but its not for everyone. i guess we see eye to eye now:)

BTW...I dig your Epons. I know a lot goes into making them and that most people would not 'get it' either.

Jumbo Ozaki would disagree with you.
The Ironmaster/IMG design, while not as popular as the 8802 is still able to produce an excellent roll on today's greens with a modern ball. If one thing is obvious with the multitude of putter designs out there, you can sink a putt with almost anything.
