Hi All,
This is my 1st post on your forum, Myself and brother and a friend are to travel to the USA Orlando for a weeks golfing holiday (Believe me the wife is jealous). We have our hotels and flights in the bag courtesy of my brothers air miles/hotel pionts (he travels alot) for either the end of February or 1st week in March 2008.
We have looked at various courses and want to fit 36 holes in most days can you advise what the courses are like there and the eticate, dress code, (We have a dress code here in the UK at our club) if there are deals etc.
we have looked at Pantha Lake Cypress Creek etc,
What would you play if you had a week there and scheduale etc
Also where is good for a beer nightlife (Not to heavy as were not kids, were in late 20's to 30's)
Any feedback we would appreciate.
Thanks again of you reply to this post

hi.
im from york. i was in orlando in july and went down to bay hill for a game. this si an arnold palmer club where vijay singh won in '07. defiinitely not to be missed it's awesome. we were really surprised at how welcoming such a high profile club was. such kind service and not snobby at all and the course is out of this world. i dont think it even costs that much. not more than £70. the food is so good and the main courses are only like $12 which works at about 7 or 8 quid. honestly mate u cant go to orlando and miss out. jus pop in a couple of days before and book a time, u may get paired with another couple or be lucky as we were and be free to play by yourselves. everythin is done for you, bags put on carts for you, callaway range balls. everything there is great value and not to be missed.
dress code isnt too strict, just a collared shirt is all that is really needed. i wore 3/4 shorts and trainers in the clubhouse.
in terms of nightlife go down to international drive and look for bahama breeze, really nice caribbean food in a nice atmosphere. also go to universal studios citywalk at night, some great places to eat and drink there such as nba city and planet hollywood and some clubs as well as downtown disney, loadsa clubs there and live performances and stuff.
hope this helps.
chris.

Hey man I am in the process of figuring out the same thing...do a search on orlando and you'll find numerous posts on courses in orlando.
