My first hole in one, 1/11/08 at Poplar Creek, San Mateo, 15th hole 165y Pin in middle back with a slight breeze into from the right, 6 iron with a tight lil draw. One hop drop.

This might be a coincedence but that was the first time i have used a sky caddie, the hole list as 157y but the sky caddie had it at 169y to the back - bout 165 to the hole. I never would have thought it was that far back, i usually grab a 7 iron, this time a used a 6 iron and put a smooth swing on it. The cool thing about it is that i hit the shot "exactly" how i wanted. PRICELESS

Congrats and make sure you do something with the ball. Frame it up nice and you will have it forever. I made the mistake of not doing anything with my first few hole in ones and regret it greatly now.

thanx guys, I have new wedges so the ball is completely beat-up. It still has the dirt on it (the course was extremely wet from a week of storms), should i clean the ball or leave it the dirt on it.

Congratulations on the Ace.
I have been golfing for about 25 years now and still no ace. Have put them in from the fairway and been close enough for an ace to have a well placed gust of wind from ones posterior put it in but no.
Getting an Ace is something special Congrats again

Drinks are still on me, see you at the bar at poplar creek, i tee off at 10:00, be at the bar @ 2:00.

Thats great! Congratulations,,I have been playing for 32 years and have never had one, I have had a few double eagles on par 5's but never an ace.

Here what I did for one of mine.

well done buddy, been playing seriously now for about 2 years (having played 4times a year for the previous 5 years) and i got my first hole in one(ish) in december. . . . My playing buddy slept in and txt me to canx after i arrived at course so i thought "I'm here now, might as well play myself" 5th hole, par 3, 140yds one bounce, hit the pin and dropped in! RAGING!!! no one there to witness it. For me it doesnt count, i'm still looking for my first and someone had better be there to see it next time!!!!
soberguy16
congrats man, ive been playing for about 10 years and am now about scratch and still cant manage one...i almost made a hole in one on a par-4 at my home course this summer in the club championship which was the closest thing i had to a hole in one i had this year (would have been sweeeet)...for some reason i see myself making a double eagle before an ace on a par-3...hopefully one of these will come soon. Anyways, I say leave the dirt on the ball and frame it... drinks.gif

I just played that course yesterday and hit the pin on 15 and rolled to five feet...close but no cigar
Shortknocker
good thing it went in on a hop, probably would've bounced offline if it had to roll for any length of time on those greens wink.gif

Congrats.

Congrats 20+ years and still no ace. Eagles yes and a 2 on a par 5, plenty of near misses but not recently, par 3s are my jinx at the moment
