Pardon me if my posts seem to be dominated by the upcoming PGA Show lately; when the entire golf industry is getting together to check each other out, it's hard to focus on much else.

One thing that caught my attention in the lead up to the show was the list of "celebrities" that will be making appearances. Obviously companies drag out whomever they can afford to draw attention to themselves and hopefully their products but it looks like the lack of resources has forced a few of them to dig deep into the D list. Annika...I'm there. Dave Pelz....sign me up. Charles Howell III...why not? Omarosa from the Apprentice!!! What the hell??

Yes, appearing on behalf of Sweet Spot Golf will be one of Donald Trump's discoveries, the villainous Omarosa. Not sure what she is going to be able to tell me about travel bags but just a note to Sweet Spot Golf...you're going to make me stay away from your booth, not visit it. I don't question your product but I certainly now question your judgment. Heck, spend the money of some low end PGA Tour pro and you have a better chance of seeing me. Sure Omarosa will get you ( errrr...her) some attention but don't expect the camera to find your latest gear when a certain someone will likely be trying to hog it for herself.

Now in real product news, California club maker KZG recently unveiled the latest addition to their extensive iron line. The HB 516 sports the look of a blade but utilizes a cast design with an internal cavity back to provide all the benefits of perimeter weighting. Looks to be another bright spot for the company that is growing in reputation. Apparently it is so forgiving that they even have a one iron in the available arsenal!

At first I thought only a complete tool would pay money to have Omarosa at a golf booth. But then again, this particularly goofy company does sell hard cases...who's more of a hard case than Omarosa? But still, do a lot of golfers that go to the PGA show know her?

Let me know who's guesting at the Adams stand.

If Brittany's going to be there, I'm on a plane. If it's Sabbatini I don't think I'll bother. wink.gif

INTERNAL CAVITY BACK, but looks like a blade?

Sounds like a re-creation of the early 90's Taylor Made ICW (Inner Cavity Weighting) irons....what goes around, comes around...
Grum
Sounds similar to nickents ARC blades. Hollow with a polymer insert.

Dude...You better get on a plane! She was at the Adams tent hitting balls with a couple of Long Drive guys.

She looks pretty good in person by the way.

On a side note: Ashley Prange of the Big Break was there with her sister and the younger sister is HOT!

A rep from Sweet Spot called me a couple weeks back on a sales call. I felt bad for the guy (I usually do, it's a rough gig for a small company) and he was bragging to me about how they got Omarosa to do their ads and how she's going to do the PGA show and on and on and on and on.

I just thought "Man, good luck with that sales pitch."
