Hi,
I'm looking for a stand bag.
Ping Hoofer Vantage or Ping Latitude.
Which one would you choose and why?
Thanks.

Are you planning to use the bag primarily for walking or will the bag be used for walking / riding?

I own(ed) both and just sold the Latitude. I originally bought it thinking I would use it when I rode or traveled as it had a bigger top, a putter well, more/larger pockets yet it was still lightweight and had a stand so it was easy to manage. After living with the Latitude for a short time, I felt like Ping really missed it with this bag. The putter well is too small for a putter with a headcover to fit into (I'm shocked Ping didn't think about this, especially since every putter they sell has a headcover now). The full length dividers are horrible since they're not connect to the side and the woods section of the top is actually TOO large unless you carry 2 fairway woods and a couple hybrids. Plus, the height of the bag is too short, something I noticed on some of the Ping cart bags. I really don't know why they do this unless it's a unisex thing, but the entire bag is about an inch shorter than most bags, which makes the bottoms of any headcover socks not even long enough to protect the shaft from the dividers. I think Ping had a good idea with this bag, they just fell short with the execution.

I just got one of the Ping Hoofer Vantage bags last month. I got it because I had some pro shop credit that was not enough to buy clubs but too much to buy a bunch of shirts and hats... I probably wouldn't buy this bag if I was paying out of pocket because it's a little on the expensive side.
It has an interesting retractable strap setup that works better than any dual strap setup I've tried. Once the bag is on your shoulders, you give a little tug and it balances perfectly. VERY comfortable to walk with. The other dual strap bags I've had I was always adjusting the straps trying to get a good balance.
It seems to be very well made and rugged, but perhaps not the lightest for a carry bag.
These features may not be a consideration if you are not carrying.
I'm not familiar with the Latitude.

I bought the Vantage in July. Solid bag. Stand is great, top is good ,pockets excellent, the down side to the retractable strap is the woods do get caught on it inside the bag once and a while. Not enough to be a real pain. The bag is not the lightest but u get the space u need. Clubs come in and out easy.

I got a Ping Hoofer Voyage for X-mas... It's a while ( 3 months ) probably until I get to use it though since its SNOW here.... But it seems pretty good, little bit lesser quality I think then the Vantage since it doesnt have the 2 retractable straps just one. But I got the all white one so it's pretty pimpin...

I just got the Latitude in black/grey. It in my avatar.
I like it but like a poster above said the putter well is too small for a headcover even on a blade putter.
I would prefer a better positioning of the dividers and it is a little shorter. I came from Taylor Made R 7 stand bag.
I bought the Latitude as it had more pockets than Hoofer.
Another nice feature is the zip off shag bag in front.
I can put watch, sunglasses, phone, wallet etc in this pocket and if I want to go inside clubhouse I can zip this off and leave bags outside (as required here) but know my personal items are with me.
Go try both at a pro shop and what fits you best....
