Thinking of going the ways of an Odyssey putter this year, playing a Nike B.C 203, but why not buy a new one lol.
I was just curious if I'd be able to custom order an XG #9 with the same finish that Sabbatini and Mickelson have on theirs.. that's such an awesome looking putter w/ darker finish.

odyssey will not put custom finish on it. you can check ebay under odyssey tour to see a black finish from black oxide finishes or send to slighter golf for about 15 different finishes. this is a great putter, the first one to get me to cheat in 7 years on my cameron.

yep, i concur. i've toyed with the seemore, yes and ping and this one is it. love the softness on the short putts. oh just don't raise the putter, keep it low for the sweet spot. great buy for just a lil over $100...

Black oxide services does that finish and its pretty reasonable. If you decide on that just buy one in used good condition. It will same you some money.

If you want to spend the dough, there will be a black series XG #9 out sometime this month with a darker finish.

I've had a cameron in the bag for 3 years after my first round with my xg 9 they both went to the auction site. I put a white iomic and bought a white odyssey a&e style cover for it. I would love to send it away for a new finish, but I am worried on how they get the insert out without damage. Anyone know how this is done?
