I noticed a lot of caddies on TV refer to a notebook.
Do you keep a notebook about your shots etc when on a course?
What is in the notebook?
Can you buy such a notebook with items to check or do you make your own?
I thought it would be helpful to keep track of what clubs I used per hole and the results. What about you?

I always wondered the same thing, if you could buy an actualy 'Golf Notebook'. I'm sure you can somehwere, personally I just went to a Staples and bought a little black book that would fit into my bag. I write down just about everything.

When playing pre-tournament practice round, yes I keep a notebook. I simply use a spiral bound 3x5 and note specific yardages to hazards; clubs hit on par 3's, as well as, some approach shots; weather conditions; depth of the greens; and the general break, as well as any influences, for the quadrants of each green.
Non-tournament round, I simply use the scorecard to keep track of F.I.R, G.I.R., Sand saves, Up & Downs and number of putts per round.

I use the par-formance book for keeping notes of my rounds.
www.par-formance.com is the address.

I have played at some courses that provide a brief yardage book. some charge and some are free... They are pretty handy and I wish I could get one at every course.
