Two 10 HCs playing two 16 HCs. How do you properly handicap a two man low ball match between these two teams? Thanks

pretty sure that you handicap off the lowest person in the group. so the two 10s would give the two 16s 3 a side. unless you are playing different tees, and then i think you reduce the stroke allotment by the difference in course rating between the two tees

That sounds right but how would it apply if two 10s were playing a 10 and 20 in low ball. Surely they wouldn't play even.

all the 10s would play off scratch and the 20 would get 5 a side.

The 16 HC's would get a stroke on each of the top six handicapped holes. It doesn't matter whether it be front or back nine; it's the top six handicap holes.

Which for 99.9% of golf courses is 3 a side.
HCP holes 1/3/5 and 2/4/6.
