I picked up an Anser 2 Stainless Steel recently. It was not in the best conditon. I have sanded it with some automotive sandpaper by hand to shine it up a bit and remove some tiny nicks, bigger nicks are harder to get rid of. What are some options from here to make it better? I am interested in trying to gun blue it, but I have heard some conflicting advice about this on a Stainless. One guy said you can't gun blue Stainless Steel, and I read somewhere else that if a magnet sticks to it pretty well you are able to blue it. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Maybe send it back to PING and have them do the black nickel finish that is on the redwoods.

I checked into putting the Black finish on a Karsten putter and was told it is only available on the Redwood model.

Send it to Ping and have them tungsten weight the head and mill the face.
Then send it to BOS.

Speaking of the Anser 2, does nayone know the exact head weight? I was just curious, and I couldn't find the answer on the ping website.

I'd recommend giving PING a call. When I asked them about BeCu and BeNi Scottsdale Ansers, PING told me both were 325.
