Bought a BG putter to re-finish and it has 2 initials stamped into the face (home job. not very good). I want to get rid of them but notice that the face is milled. WHat happens if I refinish the whole face? Do I just loose the mill marks?

Here are the pics from the listing. You can see the initials on the toe face.

The toe stamping loked deep, you'll lose some weight in refinishing the face to get rid of the stamping.
You'll definitely lose the milling on the putter face since it's shallower than the toe stamping.

Looks deeper in the pic than in reality. No impact to playability?

You'll lose weight from refinishing the face and lose maybe a few swing weight on it, if you take off the the stamping by re milling the face.
Putter will feel much lighter. please read this thread http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/index.php?sh...&hl=phoenix
