I'm looking to buy an electric golf trolley and wanted to know what's the best one out there for price, reliability and looks.

I've heard pretty good things about this one,
and while it's not cheap, it's not the most expensive either...Sun Mountain Speed E Cart. Check online, check sponsors, someone will have it...

Bump- My father is looking for one also if anyone has good or bad experience with these.

Withdrew, That is a push not an electric/motorized cart. For 3-wheeled push carts, you really can't go wrong with either Sun Mountain or Bag Boy. However, this doesn't address the original question of self-propelled carts.

actually, the picture withdrew posted is the power assisted Speed E Cart. the pic is from TGW.com and their listing for the Speed E Cart. here's the pic from Sunmountain.com:

the issue with these power assisted carts is that anyone who really needs one (i.e. not strong enough to push a cart around) will have a hell of a time just lifting one into and out of the trunk of a car...they weigh a ton (basing on lifting one up in my store). conveniently, Sun Mtn doesn't list the weight on their site. another prohibitive thing about them is the price tag...$700. i would imagine you could fine an older, used actual golf cart for somewhere in that neighborhood.

edit: just saw TGW lists the weight at 31lbs. it honestly feels a lot heavier than that to me...probably because it's so unwieldy, even folded up.

31lbs is probably without the battery.

I have been using the sun mountain speed e cart for several years and love it. It easily folds up to fit in the trunk of my camry and the charge can last about two round on fairly hilly courses.

I'm just waiting for the next generation to come out with a removable remote control.

I'd save my money and get the Segway golf cart, if it was me.

Much more fun.

I have the Sun Mountain e-cart and like it. BUT it is very heavy. If your course is flat with some slight hills, the e-cart would be optimal. But if your course has severe hills, you will need to really assist the cart up those hills, as the front wheel (the powered wheel) will spin without assistance.

I just happened to use the non-powered Sun Mountain cart a few weeks ago and realized that I like it better than the e-cart - it is lighter and hence is easier to push up hills.

Positives:
The Sun Mountain e-cart does have good build quality
Battery will last for 36 holes
Nice net to hold range finder

Negatives:
Heavy
Needs assistance up hills
Tippy
No bungee cords to hold bag
