My mother lives in Naples and I travel down there from MN a couple of times a year. I usually play La Playa which is a private course and a friend gets me on that course at least once. It is beautiful and we never run into long rounds. The last time we played there was immediately after a member only even and my buddy was talking to the superintendent and he introduced me, after starting to walk away he laughed and warned us to be careful on hole 9, and "oh by the way they are rolling at 13 today!" Devious!! I would 3 put the first three holes!! Sick Fast!! I am going to play Old Corkscrew again, it was just voted as the number 4 new public in the U.S. It is the new Jack Nicklaus and it is great!! I will probably play the public course that my mom lives on (Arrowhead), but I want to try and play Raptor Bay or something different if any of you guys have any suggestions or ideas. Last year my sister was dating the asst. pro at Naples Grande and I got to play for $50.00 and I didn't see anybody else except in the clubhouse. It was one of the best golf experiences of my life. The year before that I was introduced to my sisters secret service boyfriend, NO JOKE!! He looked like Brian Urlacher with a goatee!! Really cool guy and he got me on Pelican Marsh, which is where the ACE classic on the champions tour used to be played, it had over 150 bunkers in play, unfortunately my sister is staving off boys for now!! Damn.

La Playa is a fantastic course, IMO. It is a very well kept secret. Naples Grande doesn't suck either
