The one that works better for you when you putt with it.
Are you asking about the current OTR Cameron Newport 2 putter with an insert or the older non-insert Newport putter?
Either way, there are far too many variables to answer a question posed like that. Both are excellent putters that work well and are well made. The answer is the putter that fits your eye the best, feels the best, and works the best for you.
For example, I like the look, feel, and putt better with a Scottsdale Anser style putter so the Ping Redwood Anser and Cameron Newport putters work better for me than a Cameron Newport 2 putter. I like the feel of soft carbon steel so I would prefer a Cameron Pro Platinum Newport of the 303 stainless Ping Redwood Anser.
Anyway, the question is just too general to have a single anser (
).
