Coke, C.L.R, both work good. Toilet Bowl Cleaner. They will all remove it

Naval jelly is the way to go. You can literally wipe the finish right off and it only cost's about $6.00 for a bottle that will last you forever.

I just use the cheapie version of Coca-Cola and a little bit of steel wool. Soak it in coke, scrub, and repeat as needed.

Work smarter not Harder. There's no need to scrub with steel wool and repeat with Naval Jelly. Just wipes right off the first time. No elbow grease required or scratches on your putter from the steel wool.

Then it wasn't an oxidized finish. Naval Jelly is a rust remover made to remove oxidation from metal.
