I had a Sun Mountain Speed cart, but sold it and bought a ClicGear about a year ago.
The Sun Mountain worked well, but it seemed heavy and bulky compared to my buddy's ClicGear. Bought a smaller vehicle, so that sealed the deal on me getting a ClicGear.
I love the way it folds up very compact, and it's fairly easy to set up. But - because of it's shorter wheel base, it doesn't seem to maneuver around the course as smoothly as the Speed Cart.
Anyone else switch from Speed Cart to ClicGear with second thoughts?

I have a Sun Mountain & my friend has the Clicgear. We notice the Sun Mountain is easier to steer as the weight is evenly distributed. The Clicgear seems heavy when you need to steer. He bought the Clicgear because of the size but likes the Sun Mountain better.

Still haven't bought one, but I was leaning towards the Sun Mountain already. Just seems like more cart to me. And since my wife and I both drive SUV's (4 kids), space really isn't a factor.

Got a Clicgear a few months ago because of space limitations in my new car. I haven't noticed that it's less maneuverable than my Sun Mountain, but I do think it's a bit more stable on uneven surfaces. Sp far, I'm pleased with the purchase.

After researching 3 wheel carts for several weeks and borrowing a few to test, I bought the clicgear this summer.
I love the size when it is folded. When I take a trip with the wife and all the luggage she likes to carry, the clicgear fits into the
4runner and she doesn't even know it is there. I like the fact the clubs seem to set more upright when on the cart. I have noticed no
problems with the stability of the clicgear. There is a very elevated green on the course I play and when I leave the green I just let the
clicgear go and it rolls down to the next tee straight as an arrow and without a wobble. I have not dumped it once, but a friend
has dumped his sun mountain. It could be the way he had it loaded. I think you can dump the clicgear, but it has been plenty stable for me.
The only problem I have had was a flat tire. A trip to the local bike shop for some puncture seal took care of that.
I think the sun mountain is a fine cart, but the clicgear just suits my personal needs more.

I have used both and I bought the Clicgear and have no regrets. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. Folds small, pushes easy, rolls smooth and straight, and my C-130 fits on it perfectly. The Sun Mountain is also a very high quality cart, just not as nice as the Clicgear IMHO.

The airhose is built into the pump. Just unscrew the handle part and the hose is in there.

I have the ClicGear and an '06 SM V2, and also had an '07 SM V2 (don't ask.)
Anyway, the ClicGear is the one I put into use now. The smaller folded size is nice, but I didn't really need a "smaller" cart. I like the stability of the ClicGear better. The bag rides more upright in the brackets giving it better balance. My SM, it has a tendency to want to tip backwards. I've let it go down a hill before, had it hit a bump, and it flipped over backwards on more than one occasion. I have not had such issues with the ClicGear (I'm careful, and these were pretty gradual slopes.) The SM may seem easier to steer, but I think that is because of the weight distribution. The downside is the propensity to want to tip backwards.
My 1500 Bushnell fits in the glovebox of the Clicgear and I like the towel "clips" by the handle too. Having owned 2 of the SM and the ClicGear, my vote is for the ClicGear. Just more stable and nicer features. Maybe SM will take note. (Oh, the new SM bungee-less "smart brackets" are cumbersome at best. SM dropped the ball there.)

I noticed you use the C-130 on the ClicGear. Did you look into the SM Cartbag and if so, why did you go with the C-130?

With the new bungie-less SM carts, my C-130 just didn't fit as securely as I would have preferred. I heard good things about the Clicgear, and since it still had bungies, I went with that. I couldn't be more pleased with the decision. I've never had any issues with it, it folds easily, and it looks great. I just keep the pump and umbrella holder in my bag, with the C-130, I've got the space! Plus, the clicgear was cheaper (especially now since they are closing out their old version).

The C-130 is just a better bag, imo. I like the extra space and pockets and I like the look also. The SM Cartbags are great just not what I needed so I went with the C-130. Great bag and great push cart.

ClicGear is the better cart in my opinion. The lack of straps on the new model Speed Carts is rediculous. Better brakes on the ClicGear (pin locking vs. pad brake). We are the #1 account for ClicGear carts in the U.S. and we sell both ClicGear and the Speed Cart. The ClicGear is BY FAR more popular. Haven't had a single one come back. I am biased towards the Speed Cart too as Sun Mountain is located in my hometown of Missoula, MT. However, the straps, size, and brake on the ClicGear wins out.

All right..
Can someone explain to me how to "unscrew the handle to remove air hose"??
Which piece has to be unscrewed?
Thanks and sorry for the dumb question!

I had to go look at mine...
Pull out the "plunger" from the main handle/body. Twist the "cap" off the more slender shaft. The hose is in that end. If you shake it back and forth you can hear it in there.

at least i wasn't the only one who couldn't get the air hose out... LOL...
i've only been able to use my Clicgear about 4 times to date, but i must say it's a joy to walk the course without the hassle of picking up your bag all the time... very stable as well... never a close call with it, and i've left it go down some rather steep hills...

I have no regrets on my Clicgear regarding stability or steering. If I need to "steer" it, i simply rock it back onto two wheels an pivot the darn thing - which is what I did using my Sun Mountain before....
My complaint is that the bungie straps seem to slip a little - either they used a slightly smaller diameter strap, or something else is going on... When I try to get them snug, they seem to slip a bit. but nothing that would make me take points away from the cart.

I haven't had any issues with the straps on mine. On their website, there are a bunch of videos on folding, unfolding, etc. One of the videos talks about the bungee straps and how there are some "grooves" on the buckle deal-y that you're supposed to "push" the bungees down into once they are at the length you want them to keep them from sliding. Check out the videos and it will probably make more sense.

I feel like the biggest moron. When you say "plunger", do you mean the handle that connects to the joint where the handle meets the big main frame piece?

My dad just bought a Clicgear 2.0 and I had a Bagboy for a couple of years now. Clicgear is not as smooth as my Bagboy. When you let go at the top of a moderate hill, Clicgear would only roll down half the distance the Bagboy did. I think it's the new wheels on the new version.
I got rid of Bagboy and just gotten a Sun Mountain V1. SM V1 seems to roll as freely as my previous Bagboy model. I do like the quality of Clicgear. I wonder how the original version of Clicgear is in terms of easy of roll.
