Hey all. I'm going to Maui in March, and was curious what courses to play. I've played the 3 Kapalua courses, so I want something different. I'm staying at the Four Seasons in Wailea, and their top course is the Gold course.... Are there better golf courses in Maui to play?

I played the Emerald course at Wailea and the Plantation course at Kapalua when I went to Hawaii a few years back.

I concur with freddiec. The Makena courses are great!! I was however spoiled by the service and hospitality at Kapalua.

Makena North and South. Both great courses. Wailea Emerald and Gold are the newer ones, also great. The Blue although long in the tooth is a fun course. Definitely a resort course. Wide open. Maui Lani if you are in Kahului or maybe on your way from the resorts to the airport. If you have an afternoon flight out, Maui Lani would make a great exit as you will be 10 minutes from the airport and have to do less scrambling.

For obvious reasons, I have to agree with Mauiatheart. Maui Lani is nice, the Makena courses are great, and the Wailea courses are very nice as well. I preferred the Emerald over the Gold, but I didn't dislike any of them. As for the Four Seasons Wailea, I stayed there about a year ago and had a blast. I live on Oahu, so Maui is a nice diversion. Have fun and enjoy your vacation.

Makena South is great course. You will not be disappointed.
Emerald is also a fun course. Good example of resort golf.
