Just wondering if any of you guys out there live near/in Tampa...I live in Seminole...also anyone ever visited here?

I live in New Tampa. My usual golfing group hasn't been able to play a whole lot lately so I'm looking to find a new group of people. I'm a 6hcp and it would be nice to find some good people to play with.

Where is New Tampa? I lived in Fla for about 40-some years and have never heard of it.

I grew up in Seminole. Used to play at Bardmoor and a little Donald Ross muni in Dunedin when I was in HS. I live in Virginia now.


I'm also wondering why Matt727 is making so many copies of the same post in a bunch of different forums. What's the deal?

i live in st. petersburg. im about a 6 as well, but im not playing to it at the moment. im always willing to play with new people.

New Tampa is basically North Tampa on the other side of I75. If you know where Saddlebrook or Heritage Isles are located then I live pretty much in between them. I've played Bardmoore a number of times but that course always eats my lunch. I'm not sure why since it seems so simple but everytime I play there my ball striking goes bye bye.

David, where do you usually play? I play a lot down in Bradenton but I haven't played a whole lot towards St. Pete. Don't sweat the hcp. I started the summer at 3.3 and it's up to 6.9 so I'm headed in the wrong direction too.

New Tampa is a place that was actually purchased by the city of Tampa, but way far from the city limits. Thus, New Tampa. Its two primarily large subdivisions are Tampa Palms, and Hunters Green. I think it's exit 272 ot 270 off of I-75. It's much closer to Wesley Chapel than it is actual downtown Tampa.
