I've been looking at buying a Ping Anser 85029 or 85020. I've had little experience with these putters, but I keep seeing references to the various measurements of the first step of the shaft. I understand that the 85020 had lengths between 6 - 14 inches, and the 85029 had 6 - 9 inches. Do the various lengths really affect the feel of the putter, or are the differences negligible. The length seems to have a material effect on the value of the putter.
