Anybody use a small Sunday bag for carrying clubs to and from range sessions? I've been considering buying one, just to take a mid iron, wedges, putter and driver to the range. Since I go almost daily, it might be a little easier than dragging my bag out there every time, especially since the days are shorter here now.

my clubs are always in my car so thats not an issue for me
for you i think that's an excellent idea
but would it require the extra effort of taking clubs out of your bag, putting it in your sunday bag and then loading that bag into the car each time you to go the range???
just wondering how you plan to work it
I use a Ping Moon Bag every day. I rarely use any other bag. It fits 14 clubs, balls, tees, marker, and a bottle of water; what else do you need? It's like carying a briefcase it so light.

I have the titleist one and it is really handy and easy, i liek it a lot. I got it becuase I was in a golf program at school which was just regualr public school but one period we had golf so it was a pain taking your clubs to school and squeezing your bag into your locker so a moon bag covered this very easily, plus you can fit a pair of shoes and extra shirt in the titleist one.

I have a Mizuno Staff bag that I take when I'm on the cart, a Mizuno Stand/Cart bag that I carry when I walk. While the days are shorter, I don't really have much time to hit all of my clubs, so I plan to take one mid iron to work on swing changes, etc. Driver to work on keeping it in the fairway. Then of course the ever important wedges and putter. So, for this time of year, the need to have all of my clubs on hand is really only there on the weekend.

On the other hand, if my car gets broken into, I'd almost rather them take everything, than just a couple of my clubs. Hello insurance money.

I normally will bring the bag, but once in awhile, I'll just grab 2-3 clubs for a single bucket of range balls.
The range bags are very popular in Japan, since most of the golfer only have time after work for driving range. Here are a few under $20 to carry 6-7 clubs.

I've got a Mizuno Scratch Bag that holds my clubs if I'm taking more than 2 clubs but don't feel like taking my whole cart bag. It's very light and easy to carry.

I would recommend you look at the MacKenzie golf back for that - great products

definately get a sunday bag. Ultra light and if you ever walk when you play, a sunday bag is perfect. Highly recommended. Titleist makes the best ones. Pick one up on ebay for $35.

I even bought a Sun Mountain one for the executive course near me and the Par 3 courses that my family plays every year in Myrlte Beach. They are great for just a little short game practice or just hitting your even or odd irons. Get one, even if you don't like it, you didn't invest much in it so the loss is minimal. But I think it fits the bill well for what you want.

WTF?? I had a Ping Moon as well, and I hated that bag. toooooo small, and it seemed I could only stuff 5-6 clubs at most in there. The teeny-weeny storage compartment barely stores a golf glove and some tees (I'm exaggerating of course).

There's no room for anything else. No stand legs, so it always lied on the ground and got filthy.
Frankly I hated it. I bought a cheep light stand bag for use at the driving range, and I'm much happier. HOnestly most of the weight is the CLUBS themselves, I really never understood the rationale for these little bags.

maybe he's talking about the new ping moon-lite bag. that is far better than the old ping moon bag but you're right the not having a stand sucks. I just bought a sun mountain mini (actually it was 3 months ago but who's counting) and it is great. Basically a sunday bag with leg stand. really light and can carry 14 clubs if you choose (if you have midsize grips I would not recommend this as my dad had trouble removing his clubs)
