Just wondering when the next installment of a GolfWRX putter headcover is going to come out. I loved and used my St. Pattys day 07 all year this year, but with 2008 on the horizon, whats next for me to game in 2008?

My 07 WRX headcover saw a lot of action, and a lot of putters (SC DD, SC Newport, SC Beach, Byron 007, 350 Milled) I am ready for a new one as well!

We have heard of ideas for a skull and cross bones and maybe a cover for each sign of the Chinese Zodiac. Dragon, Lion, horse, etc.

We are open to almost any design if there's enough demand.

^I'm up for a skull and bones, throw an old school pirate ship on the side and I'm ready to pay!

Consider my vote Aaaaargh for the SKULL AND CROSSBONES. It need it to fit my mallets though!!!!

How about a two ball (mallet) cover with magnetic latch?

These are the Chineses characters "Zhuan Ji". Zhuan means "turn into", and Ji is "opportunity". Together, they signify "turn for the better", or "turn into opportunity".
The only word in English I can think of that compares would be "Eucatastrophe", coined by Tolkien, which means something like " A sudden happy turn from a hopelessly bad situation".
Of all the clubs in the bag, I think this would most appropriately fit the putter.

And there is also the more well known "Wei Ji". Wei is crisis, and Ji is opportunity. Combined it means "a situation that has reached an extremely crucial, difficult or dangerous point".

I agree, I think another holiday one would be cool. Maybe a christmas one, might be too late tho?

How bout a spring time "White and Green". Start them now and have them in time for the Masters, and more importantly, the Macgregor Green and White bags

I wish I could start a chant on here for the Pirate one, that is the best idea ever. Black cover, Skull and Bones in white, and GolfWRX in blood red.

That sounds good to me, also a newer "clover" model would be a good seller. The ones with the chinese characters sound like a nice touch also, I am fairly easy to please!!!!!!!

Is it just me, or have most of these ideas been carried out by Scotty Cameron (Skull & Crossbones, Gambling/Vegas)? I mean, I want something unique to golfwrx, not a remake of a Scotty with a golfwrx logo.

For me, this tuesday signals the release of Pirates of the Carribbean, at Worlds End, so my "I wanna be a pirate" juices are flowing again.

I'm pretty sure AM&E can't do dancing logos for trademark reasons I think. I'm thinking like the actual skull and crossbones found on pirate flags, vs that laughing skull that scotty designed.

If not that, I'd go buckwild to have a Tiki tropically themed headcover with parrots or something.

Look I want a pirate head cover. Now GX right now. Ok but on a serious note I want one with a pirate skull and cross bones. Not a scotty lauching crap bag (not a scotty bash) well maybe a little. But I like the pirate idea please.

You naysayers can say all you want that all of the ideas are scotty copies, and for the clover one you might be right. The skull and cross bones on the other hand would just be doing it right, not some cartoonish happy pirate. I don't want some kind of glow in the dark nonsense, when does that get used anyways, I want people to know that my putter is a dangerous weapon and the real skull and bones would definitely signify that.

AME will not do it but, there is another company that we can source through that can do dancing Skull and Crossbones. Just need a design. The covers would be from Asia. They would be leather and would be near to the same quality as AME. We may have closing options as well besides velcro.

I'm not so sure I'm keen on the idea of a dancing skull?? Although I haven't seen it...so I can't comment.

I'll come up with an original skull & bones .jpg (300dpi). I'll also include .eps vector image if that's helpfull for the company converting the design.


P.S. Working in the web/graphic design world, there really isn't many copyright images. The copyright scheme is a whole different ball game with many misconceptions....but I won't get into that lol.
