RunOfTheDill
I currently have an Ogio Ozone and kinda like the woode top system but the insides of the bag have fallen apart and getting clubs in the bag has become a great pain on the iron side of it. I'm looking for a stand bag that is comfortable but a good cart bag. It specifically needs some kind of system like the kabuki top, the woode system, or something with a separate putter well. Anybody have any recommendations? I would go Ogio but I'm unhappy with what happened to my current bag and even emailed ogio but because I bought it off Ebay they said they could do nothing. I dont blame ogio for not replacing the bag but i'm just unhappy with the quality. I was thinking of getting the ping freestyle but it really doesn't fit my needs organization wise but i'm willing to look at it. So, whats up? Also, have an interest in puma bags but I can't find them anywhere online. Whats up?

I'd get that Warbird Hot if I already didn't have the original Warbird.
RunOfTheDill
everybody was hating in the posts on that topic. Anybody got any experience with mizuno bags?
Paully
I've had a 2006 Mizuno Aerolite and now have the Callaway Warbird Hot. IMO quality on the Callaway bag is much better than the Mizuno. I have no experience with Mizuno's newer bags, so I can't comment on those. If I were to get another bag, I'd probably look at the Sun Mountain MPB.

I had the original Mizuno twister it was a good bag but unfortunately went walkies with all my clubs out the boot of my car a couple of years ago mad.gif

I then also got an Ogio Ozone and while it was a great carry and very functional it just fell apart half way round 2 weeks ago, to the enjoyment of my playing partners!!

I have just purchased a Ping Lattitude and while it doesn't have the Woode top it does have the seperate putter well. So far it's been great and I can't find any glaring faults, it's fine to carry and as there is no stand to get caught it goes on a trolley well.

Hope this helps.

I recently procured a OGIO Edge bag and I think it is awesome! Love the Woode system and the dedicated putter well. Also, plenty of room for my rangefinders, rain gear and all the necessities.

I have had an Ogio Edge for the past two years. I got the Punk Rock color, so I can always identify it, and so can others man_in_love.gif

I don't carry, and the bag is a little on the heavier side for a carry bag + it's large enough to put a lot of stuff in so even with my SM push cart, it's a load!

This is the second Edge as the first one had a problem with the club dividing material near the bottom, however, Ogio was great about service and sending me a new one.

Although the Woode top has much better organization than my prevous bag, club handles still get cought up and crossed over. I wish I could find a light bag with individual true full length dividers.

One nit that really bugs me is the really small tee pouch just above the ball pouch, but overall it's been good.

I believe Ogio makes the Callaway bags. I too bought an Ogio bag and it fell apart. The problem is, Ogio makes many of the OEM bags. Ogio charges a premium vs other real bag makers and their quality is not great. Mine lasted 18 months.

I think I'll try Izzo or something like that.

So my ogio problem is the same as your guys. Hmm, now I'm a bit stuck. I didn't want to spend over 150$ and everybody had the same experience I had with ogios so they are out. Mizuno GTX, Ping Latitude, or I dont know what else. I guess I'm open to anything if I have to be.
MOJO14
I just got the Datrek Vibe for $129 and love it. Has a 14 way top with full dividers and putter well and is pretty light. Think it is 5.5 lbs with nothing in it. I checked out all the others and the ones that had the features I liked (Sun Mountain) weighed too much.

7.1 lbs., but looks like a nice alternative! bye.gif

titleist x86 has full lengths I think

I was in the same boat a few weeks ago and couldn't decide what I wanted, plus the bags here were limited in selections. I looked at the ping line, several sun mountains, 1 ogio (blade), Titleist (X87), and all the OEM bags that were available (not much), so I ended up the the Nike Sasquatch Tour stand bag:

# 9.5 inch oval mesh-lined top
# 14-way full-length (individual) divider system provides excellent club management
# NIKE Woven Air technology in the revolving double strap
# Strap system provides superior cushioning and is removable for use on a motorized/pull cart
# New dual durometer extra wide bag base provides excellent lightweight stability during both cart and carry usage
# Leg straps keep legs from deploying when on a cart
# Integrated lift handle below ball pocket
# 10 strategically placed pockets (8 zippered)
# Easily accessible water bottle pocket
# Cooler pocket keeps food and beverages cold throughout the round
# Waterproof pocket protects valuables such as keys, wallet and cell phone
# Golf ball Quick Access Sleeve keeps golf balls readily available
# Sophisticated nylon material delivers a rich look and protects
# Heavily padded lumbar support
# Velcro glove storage swatch
# Integrated tee holder
# Umbrella holder
# Pen & pencil sleeves
# Includes rainhood
# Weight: 7 lbs. (Nike website states 5.5 lbs blink.gif )

This is why I chose this bag versus the others:
*The straps were more comfortable that all the bags. With 4 straps the bag feels very balanced and when I walk, the bag does not rotate on the long axis.
*Pockets/water bottle holder were easily accessible while carrying (scorecard, water bottle-external/insulated, ball holder, pen/pencil, and large ball pocket). Plus it has a insulated pocket to keep the water cooler. Down side is that you can't have use both the external and insulated at the same time, unless you use very small water bottles.
*Score card holder will hold my Bushnell for easy accesses, and since it's surrounded by other pockets, it protected against some impact.
*Straps remove easily when on the cart and the bag doesn't twist while in the cart, only a little.

The only down side is that the bag is a little heavier than average, partly cuz there is soooo much storage that I easily fit all my crap and more! But since it balances very nice on my back, it feel lighter than it really is.

Durability, I cannot comment, since i just bought it last week, but the store I bought it from has a good reputation and I believe they'll bend backwards to make it right.

I think I could go on, but it might bore you all. You can get it at gppgolf.com for a good deal, but are limited to red/blue, plus with no tax, and discount, you'll get a great deal. clapping.gif

Hmm, I'm gonna have to look at the nike again. Have heard nothing but good things about their bags. I just really don't want that big nike swoosh on my bag. Also, whats the diff between the 86, 87, and 88 bags from titelist? Hmm, so many choices. I guess the full length dividers aren't that important. I just want a bag that I can easily put all my clubs into. Thats why i don't like my ozone. I like the pockets and the bag overall but I hate putting clubs in.
JDorfler
The full length dividers really help your grips last longer. What kills the grip the most is them rubbing against one another in the bag.
Ken_In_CA
The one thing that I forgot to mention, I don't like the limited dividers while I practice, cuz I usually take more than 14 clubs. So there is really not extra room.

But while playing, the individual slots make it really easy to put clubs in and to take out!

TaylorMade's 2008 bags have a separate putter well. Looks like a fairly similar setup to the Ogio's. The TM bags have been pretty good quality in the past, but haven't had one in a while so I don't know about the current crop.

went to golf galaxy today and they didnt have any mizunos. I looked at the titelists and they didn't really do anything for me. Sun Moutain's 3.5 also did nothing for me, it was like an ogio ozone but one with one less and smaller pockets. The sales rep who was a prick loved ping bags and pretty much threw them right into my path. I looked at the Ogios again and they really are great looking bags. Anybody know how long there warrenties are? I was hoping to get two seasons out of my next bag so I don't have to buy another one through college. I need to see the mizuno before I make my decision though.

The reason I am so pro titleist I am sick of bags that the legs dont work on.
johnj
I use a Ping Hoofer and always have but I will grudging admit that the new nike bags are more functional, though slightly heavier, I won't carry a nike bag but their success and others has already spurred Ping on to add at least four full length dividers in the Hoofer Vantage. I can attest for durability, at least in my case, for the Ping Hoofer as this is the third model I have used and the other two are still in service, one holds my last set of clubs that gets used by guests and one my friend uses weekly....J

Just got a twister. Got a good deal. My boss knows the guys who own a golf shop and they are trying to clear out old stock to buy next years product so I got it pretty good.

LOL, only after 2 weeks? Well, after 2 rounds (1 ride, 1 walk) and 2 range times... all is well. hi.gif
