Has anyone else had this problem of trying to like a putter so much that you still use it even though it is bad for your game? I am finally through with trying to like an 009. I always go back to my Bettinardis. I guess a person can never be happy with what they have.

Anyone who buys a putter like that thinking its going to automatically make them a better putter are in for a rude awakening. The 009 definitely isn't a magic putter that is going to automatically start making putts for you. But they sure are nice looking.

The 009 is simply Cameron's selected-distributors-only interpretation of the original Scottsdale Anser. There is no special formula to it. If Anser shapes don't suit your stroke, it wouldn't matter if you were using an 009 or Callie or 350Milled or Newport or Redwood Anser, it just won't work. And it would be a much more painful realization when it is a putter that costs as much as it does with its market value facing some shaky times.

I also keep going back to a putter that I know is bad for me. Leaving a putter that works for one that doesn't isn't logical, but some deep, powerful connection keeps bringing me back.
Oh Nubbins, I wish I knew how to quit you.

I have a meager Mizuno/Cameron M-100, and I putt the lights out with it. My lag putting has been awesome, and I cannot take this club out of my bag. I have a Studio Design No. 6 prototype, and while the club looks sick I cannot abandon my M-100! (so I guess I'm in an opposite position than you!)
Play what works.
