A mentor is defined by webster as a trusted counselor or guide. Mentors encourage, support, teach, and will always be there to answer your questions. I feel that I have been truly blessed to have a golf mentor; the one and only Paul Reinking. Words can not express the awesomeness of Paul. He can make my day any day and everyday. Today he sent me an email with this picture.

Well you guessed it, that's Bob Lamkin, Paul, and Arnold Palmer. Bob and Paul were at Bay Hill doing a shoot for Lamkin's new grip. I think it will air on January 4th.
Never underestimate the power of a mentor. Many golf professionals are one to many people everyday. Without Paul, I would not have as much enthusiasm to continue my golf career.

Very nice of you to honor your mentor. I agree that for every good golfer there is also someone else behind their game. It's good that you have someone to support your game as well as life's challenges.
I hope you also emailed Paul with an invite to Golfwrx. It would be nice to have him on board.

Em, Paul is a class act. He is one of the most admired and respected pros in the Illinois p.g.a. In fact he just got inducted into I believe the hall of fame. I'll double check on that. You were trained under the best! He is a great guy, he is very personable, he loves people and the game. A man worthy of tribute.

Paul happens to be one of my closest friends. He won the PGA of America's highest award last year, was honored at the PGA Merchandise Show for it and he was, in fact, inducted into the Illinois PGA Golf Hall of Fame. In addition, Paul served as one of the Board of Directors for the PGA of America, which means, among other things, he accompanied the Ryder Cup Team to England a few years back and participated as a judge, rules official and a starter....tough gig, right? Anyhow, as Frank and Em both said, he's nothing short of first class.
If anyone will be at the PGA Show in Orlando, in January, Paul works my booth with me every year, too, so stop by the Path Pro Golf booth and say hello and meet Paul because he's a hellava a guy to know.
