Played a round of golf at a muni here in Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon. It was pretty windy, but I managed to get it around the course fairly consistently. At the Par 3 13th Hole, which was playing 129 yards downwind, I hit my tee shot about 15 feet and made birdie. Then, at the 283-yard Par 4 18th, also playing slightly downwind, I hit my best tee shot of the day. It finally rolled to a stop in the right rough, about 25 yards short of the green. I had a perfect angle at the hole, which was in the back left, 45-feet from the front of the green. After considering my lob wedge, I pulled a 9 iron and bumped it into the green. The ball hit perfectly into the front of the green then ran like a putt to the hole, where it hit the flagstick and disappeared into the cup for an EAGLE 2!!! It was my third ever eagle. It marked the first time I have ever had a birdie AND an eagle in the same round! Needless to say, it was great way to finish off my round.

Keep it up congrats, eagles are fun. Back when I played a lot I had 3 eagles in one week on different days. Two of them out of the fairway one was under 140 the other was about 160 out and the third was a 15 or so eagle putt on a par 5. It is funny that was over 20 years ago but you always remember the great ones.

That's great... I like the fact that you were decisive and it came out right.

I am learning myself to think of my options for ever shot instead of just grabbing a lob wedge for every shot 80yds and in. It's when you take the higher percentage shot that it tends to pay off in dividends.

Earlier in the summer i was playing a bounce game, par3 4th, took a 2, simply GIR 1 putt for it. Par4 5th, simple dogleg right, down hill. Driver and a wedge, in the hole! -3 through 4, not bad i thought. Par5 next, SNOWMAN! Yes, I got an 8, and a 5 on the 7th. Oh how i love golf.
