Here's my version of Ping's Redwood Anser ordered through Morton Golf Sales:

The sound slot really makes a big difference in sound/feel...I was surprised at how much.
This is an excellent putter --- I'm very impressed.

Headweight?
I requested 350 grams @ 33.5", which gives a D1 swingweight.

very nice. I didn't know you could get custom putters like that from Ping.

Great putter there!! Am I alont to think that your sound slot is really wide compared to... let's say Cameron's or Slighter's???
Anyways, I really like your putter!

Another great looking putter from the WRX dept. and Morton Golf. Nice work!
By any chance, have you seen the Black Satin finish that's going to be available in Jan. 08? If not, be prepared to add another one to the collection.

Not yet, but I'll wait to order my backup until I see some good pictures of that finish. I do like the StarShot, though.

that is a great looking putter. WRX through Morton huh. That is good stuff. How long did it take to get that much custom?

Seems that Ping Wrx's stuff has been able to maintain a pretty stable 1 week turnaround, plus shipping on their putters. That was the case with Sakman's Redwood and my Anser 4--both of which had the tungsten weighting as well.

very nice. i really like the scotty newport beach putter, but dislike the 330 gram head. i've been thinking about a slighter with a sound slot but now i can also look at a ping redwood. good stuff.

Sorry if I am being thick headed but I am very interested in ordering a custom Zing.
Was the putter ordered thru Morton but the work done by the WRX depat at Ping?
So could I go to my local shop and place a similar order?
Thanks

I think that you need to have a special Ping account, which your local shop may or may not have.

I had to order mine through Morton Golf Sales to get all the options I wanted. Regular Ping dealers can only order the finish & the dot.
Each option has a price, check with MGS for specifics.
MGS is a GolfWRX sponsor and they were great to deal with.
