For those of you with WIDE feet where do you find your golf shoes?

I've always had a hard time finding shoes that fit correctly. I wear a 4E shoe. For atheltic shoes I've found new balance work the best for me - their stores always have the 4Es in stock and always have a model that helps my foot problems (severe over pronation).

So it made sense when NB came out with golf shoes that I pick up a pair. They worked/fit great - the best I've ever put on my feet. Of course it came at a lack of style - I got their white/brown saddle. I prefer all brown shoes, but I could deal with these sense my feet didn't hurt.

My NBs are worn to crap now and I'm looking for something new. Golfsmith/Golf Galaxy/Edwin Watts/ et al have a bunch of shoes, but have a limited selection of wide shoes and rarely ever have an Extra Wide (which is probably more appropriate for me).

Where do you get your shoes? Have you ever special ordered a shoe? If a special order shoe doesn't fit, what is the return policy? Any other additional comments that could help?

I have 4e also. You can custom order FJ Classics in 4e, they are perfect for me! There is also a website called Zappos.com which has a large selection of wide shoes

My father has wide feet also. He goes to our local course pro shop, they normally have a pair or two that will fit him but if not he would just order some Foot Joy's through the pro shop. He wears nothing but Foot Joy's.

I wear only NB tennis shoes for the same reason.

Try Footjoy Contours. This is what I wear. The larger golf stores frequently carry the extra wides in this style, I know that PGA Superstore certainly does. Has a very comfortable athletic type fit.

+1 on the NB and Contour series FJ's. I wear both shoes very comfortable, in the FJ's I get wide but not sure if that is wide enough for 4E.

Just got a pair of the Adidas Powerband and they are great for those who have wider feet. Took me 2-3 rounds of walking to get them broken in but they are great now.

I have had adidas running shoes and they always ran wider than other shoes i have had.

Try the Ecco shoes if they are available in the US. I am on my 3rd pair and I wouldn't trade for anything.

I went through the same thing you did. I loved my NB golf shoes, but they wore out and weren't as waterproof as I need.

If you go to the FJ site, you will find the models have alternate "lasts." I have found the Countour's run wide and comforable. The DryJoys come in wide sizes, but are narrow along the top.

I have wide and pretty flat feet. Normally I'm miserable in almost any shoe, Bite's are great even after 18 holes on hilly terrain.
Had decent luck with Etonics too, but in a 1/2 size bigger than my foot.

Same thing here, NB 10 EEEE.

After 10 years the only shoes that I have found that work are the FJ DRY ICE/Gel Fusion II in XW (usually a custom order) and Callaway has some great shoes now in wide. All you have to do is take out the green fit bed, and they are plenty wide.

Have to agree with the FJ Contour's!!! Awesome shoes, I have them in 4E as well. Although, I did go down a half size in length. Order them from the myjoy site, you can get it in 4E and the other in 2E if your feet are not the same width.

fj lt's, found a pair on ebay right out of the box comfortable.

I have WIDE feet too. I have a pair of Nike WIDE I got at the Nike Golf store in VEGAS!!! THAT was amazing. They had every size in wide to try. 12...12 1/2....13.....talk about a new experience.

Other than that I have a pair of Bite shoes I got. They have a wider fit. i wore them out of the box for 36 holes...in a cart. But that was a LONG day with NO problems at all. The Bite shoes are GREAT for wide feet.

People with wide feet also like the Eccos. My dad has them and really likes them (He has duck feet too!)

Don't purchase any golf shoes until you check out Callaway shoes.

Simply the best for wide sizes.

You will not be disappointed with the fit or the style.
