Just wondering what kind of rain gear most people are wearing and what works, what doesn't work. The rain we have up here in Seattle is just a constant, soaking drizzle for most of the winter and I'm looking for a good rain jacket to combat that. I already have some really nice Gore-tex pants and I bought a SunIce jacket last year that soaked through the shoulder patches by the 3rd hole.
I would love some feedback on the new Sun Mountain RainFlex jackets or the old standby FootJoy rain gear or anything that works for that matter!
Thanks in advance!

I have footjoy jacket and pants and love them. The jacket I wear even when its not raining but is cold and windy.

Zero Restriction
Haven't worn anything from FJ or Sun Mountain but I picked up a Zero Restriction jacket because it looked and felt great, details were intellegently designed and it was the first garment that let me swing naturally. I didn't believe it was truly waterproof as I've never found anything that really kept me dry.
Well I just spent two hours in drizzle, turning to rain, followed by an hour in a torrential downpour and not a drop of water got through. Nothing. And there's no "russeling sound" when you walk or swing.
The jacket I have lists for $139.

you're right ZR is great but in my experiences isn't all that great when its cold out but def. the best in terms on not be constricting at all.

I've always been a footjoy guy but i just picked up a piece on a friend's recommendation Sunice Typhoon. This jacket is lighter & keeps me dryer than any foot joy or Nike Storm fit rain jacket I've ever owned.

Sun Mountain's Rainflex gets my vote. Light weight, extremely comfortable, and works well.

Good point! I have the windshirt which is great down to 60 - 65* but definitely not for colder weather.

Oddly enough, Burberry makes a great golf jacket... water proof, zip off sleeves, warm, lightweight. I'd pick one up if it ever got cold enough here.

I teach outside in San Franciso so I would consider myself a rainsuit expert. I have several 3 footjoys, a Zero, a Burberry, and I just got the New Adidas. To keep dry I would say the zero is best, but poor to play in. The Footjoys are best to play in and keep dry. I have not worn the Adidas in the rain yet, but I think it is going to be a good all around suit.

Does anyone have anything to say (good or bad) about Ashworth Aqua Guard rain gear? Comfortable? Run big or small? Thanks.

Galvin Green is by far the sweetest to play in and stay dry in the NW for me- I would also vbote for Nike storm is good too and this years SunIce looks awesome, but have yet to test it.

I used to wear my FJ when it rained but since I live in Atlanta now we do not get rain here that often. I have a Ashworth Performance Stretch Doeskin Zip Neck Wind Shirt and it works well for me. I have a Xl that fits with a polo shirt anything thicker I would need a 2xl. I have broad shoulders at 5-10 and I like room in my jackets. I have a friend that has the Aqua but I do not see paying 500 + bones worth it, since we hardly get rain I think it just sits in his bag. I did see an xl Aqua setup on ebay sitting at a 100 bones when I was looking at shirts.
