I like the looks of the Ping Moonlite and planning on buying one this weekend. Please give me your opinion on this bag if you've used one.

Not looking for "The Titleist is..." type input unless it's a comparison you've made by owning both.

Thanks!

I have owned alot of sunday bags and currently own a sun mountain x strap sunday bag. For me the deciding factor was the material that each was made out of. The sales rep that I talked with offered me this advice as to the ping moonlite: The bag is a good bag especially because the handle will stay up so you don't have to constantly bend over to pick up your bag but the material that which the bag is made of is not as durable as say the material in the newer titleist or sun mountain bags. For the durablity was the deciding factor but I think that the pop up handle is definitely a + in the ping bag. It was has enough space for everything so in the brief time that I had with the bag it was a good bag.

thanks, alez...btw, your sig WITB doesn't list irons. Do you really hit it that long off the tee that all you need is wedges? wink.gif

For me, the Ping is unique in that it handles 14 clubs without much trouble getting them in and out. The diameter and dividers are cleverly integrated to deliver ease of use with a full set. The downside of the Ping is that the pockets are small and it's strictly a minimalist bag in that regard. Some others offer more storage space. Great product though. Light as a feather and the stand up strap eliminates the need to bend over.

Uber, my plan is to use the bag for afternoon 9's where I'd only carry tees, a few balls, and a water bottle. Sounds like it would work well for that.

I've had one for about 2 months and i love it! lite and easy to get the clubs in and out! good storage space for such a small bag!

yeah i was hoping that no one would notice that. I just let go of some wilson Pi5s because after playing them for a few rounds they just didn't fit my eye. I am in the process of looking for some new irons. Hopefully it won't be as painful as before.

what are you considering?

Should be a perfect set up for you. I go driver, 3W, 20* hybrid, 4-6-8-PW-SW-LW and putter with mine and it's ideal for walking nine in the afternoon on a dry course. I also like to take one on a cart with a full set. I can take off with it while my partner heads to his ball. It's a great way to speed up the pace of play and not as clumsy or awkward as a stand bag. The price is great too; Ping really got it right on this one.

I had the Ping Moonlight and got rid of it. I could never get to hang on my shoulder quite right and found the clubs tipping forward. The material of the bag rpomoted the clubs slipping out. Did not notice a tremendous advantage to the upright strap - although that is what I was hoping for.
